Then a man of God came and spoke to the king of Israel, and said,“ Thus says the Lord:‘ Because the Syrians have said,“ The Lord is God of the hills, but He is not God of the valleys,” therefore I will deliver all this great multitude into your hand, and you shall know that I am the Lord.’”

有神人来见以色列王，说：“耶和华如此说：‘亚兰人既说我耶和华是山神，不是平原的神，所以我必将这一大群人都交在你手中，你们就知道我是耶和华。’”

有神人靠近，对以色列王说：“耶和华如此说：‘亚兰人既说我—耶和华是山神，不是平原之神，我必将这一大群人全都交在你手中，你们就知道我是耶和华。’”

有一個神人走近前來見以色列王說：『永恆主這麼說：「亞蘭人既說：『永恆主是山神，不是山谷的神』，那麼我就要將這一大隊蜂擁軍兵都交在你手裏，你們便知道我乃是永恆主。」』

有上帝僕進見以色列王曰、耶和華云、亞蘭人謂耶和華乃山嶽之神、非平原之神、故我必以此羣眾付於爾手、爾則知我乃耶和華、

上帝之僕至、告以色列王曰、耶和華云、亞蘭人謂耶和華乃山嶽之上帝、非平原之上帝、故我必以此實繁有徒、付於爾手、使爾知我乃耶和華。

有神人進前、告以色列王曰、主如是云、亞蘭人言我乃山岳之神、非平原之神、故我必以此大軍旅付於爾手、使爾知我乃主、

The man of God came up and told the king of Israel,“ This is what the Lord says:‘ Because the Arameans think the Lord is a god of the hills and not a god of the valleys, I will deliver this vast army into your hands, and you will know that I am the Lord.’”

The man of God came up to the king of Israel again. He told him,“ The Lord says,‘ The men of Aram think the Lord is a god of the hills. They do not think he is a god of the valleys. So I, the Lord, will hand their huge army over to you. Then you will know that I am the Lord.’ ”

And a man of God came near and said to the king of Israel,“ Thus says the Lord,‘ Because the Syrians have said,“ The Lord is a god of the hills but he is not a god of the valleys,” therefore I will give all this great multitude into your hand, and you shall know that I am the Lord.’”

Then the man of God went to the king of Israel and said,“ This is what the Lord says: The Arameans have said,‘ The Lord is a god of the hills and not of the plains.’ So I will defeat this vast army for you. Then you will know that I am the Lord.”

Then the man of God approached and said to the king of Israel,“ This is what the LORD says:‘ Because the Arameans have said,“ The LORD is a god of the mountains and not a god of the valleys,” I will hand over all this whole huge army to you. Then you will know that I am the LORD.’”

And a man of God came near and spake unto the king of Israel, and said, Thus saith Jehovah, Because the Syrians have said, Jehovah is a god of the hills, but he is not a god of the valleys; therefore will I deliver all this great multitude into thy hand, and ye shall know that I am Jehovah.

Then the man of God approached and said to the king of Israel,“ This is what the Lord says:‘ Because the Arameans have said: Yahweh is a god of the mountains and not a god of the valleys, I will hand over all this great army to you. Then you will know that I am the Lord.’”

And there came a man of God, and spake unto the king of Israel, and said, Thus saith the LORD, Because the Syrians have said, The LORD[ is] God of the hills, but he[ is] not God of the valleys, therefore will I deliver all this great multitude into thine hand, and ye shall know that I[ am] the LORD.

The prophet visited the king of Israel and said,“ This is what the LORD says:‘ Because the Syrians said,“ The LORD is a god of the mountains and not a god of the valleys,” I will hand over to you this entire huge army. Then you will know that I am the LORD.’”

A man of God came near and spoke to the king of Israel, and said,“ Yahweh says,‘ Because the Syrians have said,“ Yahweh is a god of the hills, but he is not a god of the valleys;” therefore I will deliver all this great multitude into your hand, and you shall know that I am Yahweh.’”

Suddenly a prophet approached Ahab king of Israel, saying,“ Thus says the Lord:‘ Have you seen all this great multitude? Behold, I will deliver it into your hand today, and you shall know that I am the Lord.’”

So she said to Elijah,“ What have I to do with you, O man of God? Have you come to me to bring my sin to remembrance, and to kill my son?”

And you shall know that I am the Lord; for you have not walked in My statutes nor executed My judgments, but have done according to the customs of the Gentiles which are all around you.”’”

So I will stretch out My hand against them and make the land desolate, yes, more desolate than the wilderness toward Diblah, in all their dwelling places. Then they shall know that I am the Lord.’”’”

O Lord, what shall I say when Israel turns its back before its enemies?For the Canaanites and all the inhabitants of the land will hear it, and surround us, and cut off our name from the earth. Then what will You do for Your great name?”

And the Egyptians shall know that I am the Lord, when I stretch out My hand on Egypt and bring out the children of Israel from among them.”

But I had concern for My holy name, which the house of Israel had profaned among the nations wherever they went.“ Therefore say to the house of Israel,‘ Thus says the Lord GOD:“ I do not do this for your sake, O house of Israel, but for My holy name’s sake, which you have profaned among the nations wherever you went.And I will sanctify My great name, which has been profaned among the nations, which you have profaned in their midst; and the nations shall know that I am the Lord,” says the Lord GOD,“ when I am hallowed in you before their eyes.

Not for your sake do I do this,” says the Lord GOD,“ let it be known to you. Be ashamed and confounded for your own ways, O house of Israel!”

And the prophet came to the king of Israel and said to him,“ Go, strengthen yourself; take note, and see what you should do, for in the spring of the year the king of Syria will come up against you.”Then the servants of the king of Syria said to him,“ Their gods are gods of the hills. Therefore they were stronger than we; but if we fight against them in the plain, surely we will be stronger than they.

But I will spare a few of their men from the sword, from famine, and from pestilence, that they may declare all their abominations among the Gentiles wherever they go. Then they shall know that I am the Lord.”

With Him are strength and prudence. The deceived and the deceiver are His.He leads counselors away plundered, And makes fools of the judges.He loosens the bonds of kings, And binds their waist with a belt.He leads princes away plundered, And overthrows the mighty.

And in that day I will set apart the land of Goshen, in which My people dwell, that no swarms of flies shall be there, in order that you may know that I am the Lord in the midst of the land.

Because your rage against Me and your tumult Have come up to My ears, Therefore I will put My hook in your nose And My bridle in your lips, And I will turn you back By the way which you came.”’“ This shall be a sign to you: You shall eat this year such as grows of itself, And the second year what springs from the same; Also in the third year sow and reap, Plant vineyards and eat the fruit of them.And the remnant who have escaped of the house of Judah Shall again take root downward, And bear fruit upward.For out of Jerusalem shall go a remnant, And those who escape from Mount Zion. The zeal of the Lord of hosts will do this.“ Therefore thus says the Lord concerning the king of Assyria:‘ He shall not come into this city, Nor shoot an arrow there, Nor come before it with shield, Nor build a siege mound against it.By the way that he came, By the same shall he return; And he shall not come into this city,’ Says the Lord.‘ For I will defend this city, to save it For My own sake and for My servant David’s sake.’”Then the angel of the Lord went out, and killed in the camp of the Assyrians one hundred and eighty-five thousand; and when people arose early in the morning, there were the corpses— all dead.So Sennacherib king of Assyria departed and went away, returned home, and remained at Nineveh.

I will take you as My people, and I will be your God. Then you shall know that I am the Lord your God who brings you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians.

The righteous shall rejoice when he sees the vengeance; He shall wash his feet in the blood of the wicked,So that men will say,“ Surely there is a reward for the righteous; Surely He is God who judges in the earth.”

O Lord, though our iniquities testify against us, Do it for Your name’s sake; For our backslidings are many, We have sinned against You.

Had I not feared the wrath of the enemy, Lest their adversaries should misunderstand, Lest they should say,“ Our hand is high; And it is not the Lord who has done all this.”’

Why should the nations say,“ Where is their God?” Let there be known among the nations in our sight The avenging of the blood of Your servants which has been shed.

You have not eaten bread, nor have you drunk wine or similar drink, that you may know that I am the Lord your God.

But I acted for My name’s sake, that it should not be profaned before the Gentiles among whom they were, in whose sight I had made Myself known to them, to bring them out of the land of Egypt.

Then the Spirit of the Lord came upon Jahaziel the son of Zechariah, the son of Benaiah, the son of Jeiel, the son of Mattaniah, a Levite of the sons of Asaph, in the midst of the assembly.And he said,“ Listen, all you of Judah and you inhabitants of Jerusalem, and you, King Jehoshaphat! Thus says the Lord to you:‘ Do not be afraid nor dismayed because of this great multitude, for the battle is not yours, but God’s.Tomorrow go down against them. They will surely come up by the Ascent of Ziz, and you will find them at the end of the brook before the Wilderness of Jeruel.You will not need to fight in this battle. Position yourselves, stand still and see the salvation of the Lord, who is with you, O Judah and Jerusalem!’ Do not fear or be dismayed; tomorrow go out against them, for the Lord is with you.”And Jehoshaphat bowed his head with his face to the ground, and all Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem bowed before the Lord, worshiping the Lord.Then the Levites of the children of the Kohathites and of the children of the Korahites stood up to praise the Lord God of Israel with voices loud and high.So they rose early in the morning and went out into the Wilderness of Tekoa; and as they went out, Jehoshaphat stood and said,“ Hear me, O Judah and you inhabitants of Jerusalem: Believe in the Lord your God, and you shall be established; believe His prophets, and you shall prosper.”

So I will make My holy name known in the midst of My people Israel, and I will not let them profane My holy name anymore. Then the nations shall know that I am the Lord, the Holy One in Israel.

But I acted for My name’s sake, that it should not be profaned before the Gentiles, in whose sight I had brought them out.

And behold, a man of God went from Judah to Bethel by the word of the Lord, and Jeroboam stood by the altar to burn incense.
