有一個神人走近前來見以色列王說：『永恆主這麼說：「亞蘭人既說：『永恆主是山神，不是山谷的神』，那麼我就要將這一大隊蜂擁軍兵都交在你手裏，你們便知道我乃是永恆主。」』

有上帝僕進見以色列王曰、耶和華云、亞蘭人謂耶和華乃山嶽之神、非平原之神、故我必以此羣眾付於爾手、爾則知我乃耶和華、

上帝之僕至、告以色列王曰、耶和華云、亞蘭人謂耶和華乃山嶽之上帝、非平原之上帝、故我必以此實繁有徒、付於爾手、使爾知我乃耶和華。

有神人進前、告以色列王曰、主如是云、亞蘭人言我乃山岳之神、非平原之神、故我必以此大軍旅付於爾手、使爾知我乃主、

The man of God came up and told the king of Israel,“ This is what the Lord says:‘ Because the Arameans think the Lord is a god of the hills and not a god of the valleys, I will deliver this vast army into your hands, and you will know that I am the Lord.’”

The man of God came up to the king of Israel again. He told him,“ The Lord says,‘ The men of Aram think the Lord is a god of the hills. They do not think he is a god of the valleys. So I, the Lord, will hand their huge army over to you. Then you will know that I am the Lord.’ ”

And a man of God came near and said to the king of Israel,“ Thus says the Lord,‘ Because the Syrians have said,“ The Lord is a god of the hills but he is not a god of the valleys,” therefore I will give all this great multitude into your hand, and you shall know that I am the Lord.’”

Then the man of God went to the king of Israel and said,“ This is what the Lord says: The Arameans have said,‘ The Lord is a god of the hills and not of the plains.’ So I will defeat this vast army for you. Then you will know that I am the Lord.”

Then the man of God approached and said to the king of Israel,“ This is what the LORD says:‘ Because the Arameans have said,“ The LORD is a god of the mountains and not a god of the valleys,” I will hand over all this whole huge army to you. Then you will know that I am the LORD.’”

Then a man of God approached and spoke to the king of Israel, and said,“ This is what the Lord says:‘ Since the Arameans have said,“ The Lord is a god of mountains, but He is not a god of valleys,” therefore I will hand over to you all this great multitude, and you shall know that I am the Lord.’ ”

Then a man of God came and spoke to the king of Israel, and said,“ Thus says the Lord:‘ Because the Syrians have said,“ The Lord is God of the hills, but He is not God of the valleys,” therefore I will deliver all this great multitude into your hand, and you shall know that I am the Lord.’”

And a man of God came near and spake unto the king of Israel, and said, Thus saith Jehovah, Because the Syrians have said, Jehovah is a god of the hills, but he is not a god of the valleys; therefore will I deliver all this great multitude into thy hand, and ye shall know that I am Jehovah.

Then the man of God approached and said to the king of Israel,“ This is what the Lord says:‘ Because the Arameans have said: Yahweh is a god of the mountains and not a god of the valleys, I will hand over all this great army to you. Then you will know that I am the Lord.’”

And there came a man of God, and spake unto the king of Israel, and said, Thus saith the LORD, Because the Syrians have said, The LORD[ is] God of the hills, but he[ is] not God of the valleys, therefore will I deliver all this great multitude into thine hand, and ye shall know that I[ am] the LORD.

The prophet visited the king of Israel and said,“ This is what the LORD says:‘ Because the Syrians said,“ The LORD is a god of the mountains and not a god of the valleys,” I will hand over to you this entire huge army. Then you will know that I am the LORD.’”

A man of God came near and spoke to the king of Israel, and said,“ Yahweh says,‘ Because the Syrians have said,“ Yahweh is a god of the hills, but he is not a god of the valleys;” therefore I will deliver all this great multitude into your hand, and you shall know that I am Yahweh.’”

主啊，现在以色列人被仇敌打败，我还有什么话可说呢？迦南人和这一带的人听到这消息以后，必从四面八方来围攻我们，将我们从地上斩尽杀绝。那时候，你的威名又何在呢？”

埃及人看见我伸手攻击他们、把以色列人带出埃及，就会知道我是耶和华。”

我顾惜我的圣名，就是以色列人在所去的列国亵渎的圣名。“因此，你要告诉以色列人，主耶和华这样说，‘以色列人啊，我要行这事并非因为你们的缘故，而是因为我圣名的缘故，就是你们在所去列国亵渎的圣名。我要使我伟大的名，就是你们在列国中所亵渎的名，彰显它的圣洁。我要当着列国的面在你们身上彰显我的圣洁，那时他们就知道我是耶和华。这是主耶和华说的。

主耶和华说，你们应当知道，我这样做并不是为了你们。以色列人啊，你们应当为自己的行为抱愧蒙羞。’

先知又来见以色列王，说：“你要加强防卫，做好准备，因为明年春天亚兰王必卷土重来。”臣仆给亚兰王献计说：“以色列人的神是山神，所以他们占了上风，我们若在平原上跟他们交战，一定会取胜。

然而，我要使他们当中一些人免遭刀剑、饥荒和瘟疫，使他们可以在各国供述自己一切可憎的事。他们就知道我是耶和华。”

祂充满力量和智慧。骗子和受骗者都在祂权下。祂使谋士赤身被掳，使审判官愚拙不堪。祂除去君王的腰带，在他们腰间绑上囚索。祂使祭司赤身被掳，祂推翻久握大权者。

但那天，我子民居住的歌珊却丝毫不会受搅扰，这样你就知道我耶和华主宰天下。

因为你向我发怒，你狂傲的话达到了我耳中，我要用钩子钩住你的鼻子，把嚼环放在你嘴里，使你原路返回。’“希西迦啊，我要给你一个兆头。你们今年明年要吃野生的，后年要撒种，收割，栽种葡萄园，吃园中的果子。犹大的幸存者要再次向下扎根，向上结果。因为将有余民从耶路撒冷出来，有幸存者从锡安山出来。万军之耶和华必热切地成就这事。至于亚述王，耶和华说，‘他必不能进城或向这里射一箭，必不能手持盾牌兵临城下或修筑攻城的高台。他必原路返回，不得进入这城。这是耶和华说的。我必为自己和我仆人大卫而保护、拯救这城。’”于是，耶和华的天使到亚述营中杀了十八万五千人。人们清早起来，发现到处是尸体。亚述王西拿基立便拔营回国，住在尼尼微。

我要接纳你们做我的子民，我要做你们的上帝。这样，你们就知道我是你们的上帝耶和华，曾救你们脱离埃及人的辖制。

义人必因恶人遭报而欢欣，并用恶人的血洗脚。这样，人们必说：“义人终有善报，确实有一位审判天下的上帝。”

耶和华啊，虽然我们的罪控告我们，我们屡屡叛逆得罪你，求你为了自己的尊名而拯救我们。

但我不愿让敌人夸口，宣称这是他们的胜利，而非我的作为。’

为何让列邦说：“他们的上帝在哪里？”求你让我们亲眼看见，也让列邦都知道，你为自己被害的子民申冤。

你们没有吃饼，也没有喝淡酒和烈酒。这是为了让你们知道耶和华是你们的上帝。

但我没有这样做，以免我的名在他们寄居的列邦面前被亵渎。因为列邦亲眼看见我向以色列人显现，把他们带出埃及。

这时，耶和华的灵降在雅哈悉身上。雅哈悉是利未人亚萨的后裔、玛探雅的玄孙、耶利的曾孙、比拿雅的孙子、撒迦利雅的儿子。他说：“全体犹大人、耶路撒冷的居民和约沙法王啊，你们要留心听！耶和华对你们如此说，‘你们不要因敌军强大而恐惧惊慌，因为战争的胜败不在乎你们，而在乎上帝。明天你们下去迎敌，敌军会从洗斯坡上来，你们一定会在耶鲁伊勒旷野前面的谷口遇见他们。你们不用与他们交战，只要守住阵势，站立不动，看耶和华为你们施行拯救。犹大人和耶路撒冷人啊，不要恐惧，不要惊慌，明天只管出去迎敌，耶和华必与你们同在！’”于是，约沙法面伏于地，所有犹大人和耶路撒冷的居民也都俯伏在耶和华面前敬拜祂。哥辖族和可拉族的利未人都站起来，高声赞美以色列的上帝耶和华。第二天清晨，众人起来去提哥亚的旷野。他们出发的时候，约沙法站着说：“犹大人和耶路撒冷的居民啊，请听我说！要信靠你们的上帝耶和华，你们就必坚立；要相信祂的先知，你们就必得胜。”

“‘我要让我的以色列子民知道我的圣名，不再让我的圣名被亵渎。这样列国就知道我是耶和华——以色列的圣者。

但我没有这样做，以免我的名在周围列邦面前被亵渎，因为列邦亲眼看见我向以色列人显现，把他们带出埃及。

有一位上帝的仆人奉耶和华的命令从犹大来到伯特利。那时，耶罗波安正站在祭坛旁烧香。
