先知進見以色列王曰、往哉、自強、慎爾所為、歲月既周、亞蘭王必來攻爾、

先知覲以色列王曰、當益爾軍旅、謹爾作為、明年亞蘭王必復至、以攻擊爾。

先知至以色列王前、謂之曰、當勉力自強、籌晝如何備禦、明年斯時、亞蘭王必復至攻擊爾、

Afterward, the prophet came to the king of Israel and said,“ Strengthen your position and see what must be done, because next spring the king of Aram will attack you again.”

After that, the prophet came to the king of Israel again. The prophet said,“ Make your position stronger. Do what needs to be done. Next spring the king of Aram will attack you again.”

Then the prophet came near to the king of Israel and said to him,“ Come, strengthen yourself, and consider well what you have to do, for in the spring the king of Syria will come up against you.”

Afterward the prophet said to King Ahab,“ Get ready for another attack. Begin making plans now, for the king of Aram will come back next spring.”

The prophet approached the king of Israel and said to him,“ Go and strengthen yourself, then consider carefully what you should do, for in the spring the king of Aram will attack you.”

Then the prophet approached the king of Israel and said to him,“ Go, show yourself courageous and be aware and see what you have to do; for at the turn of the year the king of Aram will march against you.”

And the prophet came to the king of Israel and said to him,“ Go, strengthen yourself; take note, and see what you should do, for in the spring of the year the king of Syria will come up against you.”

And the prophet came near to the king of Israel, and said unto him, Go, strengthen thyself, and mark, and see what thou doest; for at the return of the year the king of Syria will come up against thee.

The prophet approached the king of Israel and said to him,“ Go and strengthen yourself, then consider what you should do, for in the spring the king of Aram will march against you.”

And the prophet came to the king of Israel, and said unto him, Go, strengthen thyself, and mark, and see what thou doest: for at the return of the year the king of Syria will come up against thee.

The prophet visited the king of Israel and instructed him,“ Go, fortify your defenses. Determine what you must do, for in the spring the king of Syria will attack you.”

The prophet came near to the king of Israel, and said to him,“ Go, strengthen yourself, and mark, and see what you do; for at the return of the year the king of Syria will come up against you.”

In the spring, at the time when kings go off to war, David sent Joab out with the king’s men and the whole Israelite army. They destroyed the Ammonites and besieged Rabbah. But David remained in Jerusalem. (niv)

Meanwhile a prophet came to Ahab king of Israel and announced,“ This is what the Lord says:‘ Do you see this vast army? I will give it into your hand today, and then you will know that I am the Lord.’” (niv)

The next spring Ben-Hadad mustered the Arameans and went up to Aphek to fight against Israel. (niv)

Then the prophet went and stood by the road waiting for the king. He disguised himself with his headband down over his eyes. (niv)

He replied,“ I have been very zealous for the Lord God Almighty. The Israelites have rejected your covenant, torn down your altars, and put your prophets to death with the sword. I am the only one left, and now they are trying to kill me too.” (niv)

The name of the Lord is a fortified tower; the righteous run to it and are safe. (niv)

Even if you go and fight courageously in battle, God will overthrow you before the enemy, for God has the power to help or to overthrow.” (niv)

In the spring, at the time when kings go off to war, Joab led out the armed forces. He laid waste the land of the Ammonites and went to Rabbah and besieged it, but David remained in Jerusalem. Joab attacked Rabbah and left it in ruins. (niv)

“ None of us, my lord the king,” said one of his officers,“ but Elisha, the prophet who is in Israel, tells the king of Israel the very words you speak in your bedroom.” (niv)

Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. (niv)

Lord, your hand is lifted high, but they do not see it. Let them see your zeal for your people and be put to shame; let the fire reserved for your enemies consume them. (niv)

Why do the nations say,“ Where is their God?”Our God is in heaven; he does whatever pleases him. (niv)

Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord. (niv)

Plans are established by seeking advice; so if you wage war, obtain guidance. (niv)

Amaziah then marshaled his strength and led his army to the Valley of Salt, where he killed ten thousand men of Seir. (niv)

Proclaim this among the nations: Prepare for war! Rouse the warriors! Let all the fighting men draw near and attack.Beat your plowshares into swords and your pruning hooks into spears. Let the weakling say,“ I am strong!” (niv)

The king of Israel answered Jehoshaphat,“ There is still one prophet through whom we can inquire of the Lord, but I hate him because he never prophesies anything good about me, but always bad. He is Micaiah son of Imlah.”“ The king should not say such a thing,” Jehoshaphat replied. (niv)
