Now Ben-Hadad king of Aram mustered his entire army. Accompanied by thirty-two kings with their horses and chariots, he went up and besieged Samaria and attacked it.

Ben- Hadad brought his whole army together. He was king of Aram. He went up to Samaria. He took 32 kings and their horses and chariots with him. All of them surrounded Samaria and attacked it.

亞多尼庇泄曰、昔我斷七十王手足之巨擘、使拾物於我几下、今上帝視我所行、報施於我。猶大族乃攜之至耶路撒冷、死焉。○

後以銀三千兩、與撒馬購撒馬利亞山、在山建邑、斯山本屬於撒馬、故仍其名、稱邑曰、撒馬利亞。

爾與敵戰見車馬人民、較己尤眾、則毋畏懼、蓋爾上帝耶和華昔導爾出埃及、必輔翼爾。

為爾背約、故以鋒刃擊爾、洩我忿怒。爾若集於邑垣、我必使疫癘流行、付爾於敵。

至以色列遍地、環攻撒馬利亞歷至三年。何西王九年、亞述陷撒馬利亞、擄以色列族、至亞述地置於坷散河旁之哈臘、哈拔、及米太族諸邑。

於爾上帝耶和華所錫之地、四境之內、城垣鞏固、高聳特甚、爾恃之以無恐、必見圍於敵、攻而下之。

諸王之王、亞達泄西告選士祭司以士喇、能明天上上帝之律例者、願爾享厥綏安、

必火大馬色城垣、毀便哈達宮殿。

主耶和華曰、我必使諸王之王、巴比倫王尼布甲尼撒、來自北方、簡其車馬、率其軍旅、以攻推羅、

以利沙至大馬色。亞蘭王便哈達遘疾。或告王曰、上帝之僕至此。王諭哈泄曰、爾攜禮物、往見上帝之僕、請彼問耶和華我疾得愈否。哈泄攜大馬色所產之嘉品、載於四十駝、以為禮物、就見上帝之僕、立於其前、曰、爾弟子亞蘭王、便哈達、遣我見爾、問此疾可愈否。以利沙曰、爾往告於王、此疾不致殞命。雖然、耶和華曾示我、王必薨。

簡車六百乘、與通國之驍騎軍長、襲其後。法老剛愎厥心、耶和華姑聽之。以色列族毫無畏葸而出埃及、

備有鐵車九百、虐遇以色列族、歷二十年、以色列族籲耶和華、

越至於後、亞蘭王便哈達集其全軍、圍撒馬利亞邑。撒馬利亞糧絕、驢之一首、值金四十、鴿糞二升三合、值金二兩有半、以色列王沿城垣而過、聞婦呼曰、我主我王與、其助我。曰如耶和華不助爾、我何由助爾、或由穀場、或由酒醡、俱無從得。又曰、爾何事。曰、昔有一婦、告我曰、今日食爾子、明日食我子。於是烹我子而食之、次日我告彼曰、今當食爾子、乃彼匿其子。

爾遣僕侮耶和華云、我率眾車、已躋山巔、在利巴嫩旁、斫柏香木之高者、松柏之美者、我必造其極處、奪其良田、

毋庸列王偕往、以武士長代之。

彼曰我之牧伯、可儗列王、

日中而出、見便哈達與同盟之三十二王、於幕中、飲酒已醉。

天上上帝、賜爾秉國之鈞、能力俱備、榮光丕著為諸王之王、

示拿王暗喇非、以拉撒王亞畧、以攔王基大老馬、列邦王提達、與所多馬王庇喇、蛾摩拉王庇沙、押馬王示納、西編王示米別、及庇拉即瑣耳王戰。所多馬五王、咸會於西亭谷、後之鹽海、即其地也。蓋此五王、事基大老馬、歷十有二年、至十三年叛。十四年基大老馬與同盟諸王、來擊亞提律加寧之哩乏音人、哈麥之、蘇西人、沙微基烈亭之以米人、
