王又對示每說：『你自己知道你對我父親大衛所行過的一切壞事、你心裏知道永恆主必使你作的壞事都歸到你自己頭上。

王又說：「你以前如何惡待我父大衛，你自己心裡明白，現在耶和華要追究你的罪行了。

又曰、昔爾行於我父大衛之惡、爾心所存、爾悉知之、今耶和華必使爾惡、歸於爾首、

又曰、昔爾以惡待我父大闢、爾心所知、今耶和華必因是惡而報施焉。

王又謂示每曰、昔爾以惡待我父大衛、爾心所知、今主因爾此惡、使罪歸於爾首、

The king also said to Shimei,“ You know in your heart all the wrong you did to my father David. Now the Lord will repay you for your wrongdoing.

The king continued,“ You know all the wrong things you did to my father David. In your heart you know them. Now the Lord will pay you back for what you did.

The king also said to Shimei,“ You know in your own heart all the harm that you did to David my father. So the Lord will bring back your harm on your own head.

The king also said to Shimei,“ You certainly remember all the wicked things you did to my father, David. May the Lord now bring that evil on your own head.

The king also said,“ You yourself know all the evil that you did to my father David. Therefore, the LORD has brought back your evil on your head,

The king also said to Shimei,“ You yourself know all the evil that you acknowledge in your heart, which you did to my father David; therefore the Lord will return your evil on your own head.

The king said moreover to Shimei,“ You know, as your heart acknowledges, all the wickedness that you did to my father David; therefore the Lord will return your wickedness on your own head.

The king said moreover to Shimei, Thou knowest all the wickedness which thy heart is privy to, that thou didst to David my father: therefore Jehovah shall return thy wickedness upon thine own head.

The king also said,“ You yourself know all the evil that you did to my father David. Therefore, the Lord has brought back your evil on your head,

Then the king said to Shimei,“ You are well aware of the way you mistreated my father David. The LORD will punish you for what you did.

The king said moreover to Shimei,“ You know in your heart all the wickedness that you did to David my father. Therefore Yahweh will return your wickedness on your own head.

大衛王來到巴戶琳，忽見有一個人從那裏出來，是屬掃羅家的族系，名叫示每，是基拉的兒子：他一面走，一面咒罵；又拿石頭打大衛和大衛王所有的臣僕：眾民和眾勇士都在王左右。示每咒罵的時候是這樣說的：他說：『你這流人血的人哪，你這無賴子啊，出走吧，出走吧！你流掃羅全家的血，接替他作王：永恆主把這罪歸在你身上，將王權交給你兒子押沙龍；看哪，你已在你自己的惡作劇中了，因為你是流人血的人。』洗魯雅的兒子亞比篩對王說：『這死狗為甚麼咒罵我主我王呢？容我過去、取下他的頭來。』王說：『洗魯雅的兒子啊，你們與我就不同意了。他咒罵，若是因為永恆主吩咐他「要咒罵大衛」那麼誰敢說：「你為甚麼這樣行呢？」』大衛又對亞比篩和眾臣僕說：『看哪，我親腹出的兒子尚且尋索我的性命，何況現在這便雅憫人呢？由他咒罵吧；因為這是永恆主吩咐他的。或者永恆主見我遭難，為了我今天被這人咒罵，永恆主就以福報我也不一定。』於是大衛和跟隨的人沿路上走；示每也在山邊、跟大衛平行，一面走，一面咒罵，又拿石頭平行地打他，拿塵土揚他。

他的毒害必回到他自己頭上；他的強暴必落到他自己頭頂。

大衛聽見拿八死了，就說：『永恆主是當受祝頌的，因為我從拿八手裏所受的羞辱、那案件他都為我伸訴了；他又攔阻了僕人行壞事；也使拿八的壞事歸到拿八自己頭上。』於是大衛打發人向亞比該提說要娶她為妻。

因此主永恆主這麼說：我指着永活的我來起誓，對他所藐視我發咒起誓的話、和他所違犯我立的約、我一定要將這罪還報在他頭上。

永恆主要使約押流人血的罪歸到他自己頭上，因為他用刀殺掉了兩個比他又義又好的人、就是以色列的軍長、尼珥的兒子押尼珥、和猶大的軍長、益帖的兒子亞瑪撒，將他們殺死，我父親大衛卻不知道。故此流這二人之血的罪總要歸到約押頭上、和他後裔頭上到永遠；而大衛和他的後裔、他的家和他的王位、卻要從永恆主那裏得平安到永遠。』

他們聽了，就一個一個地出去，從老的起；只留下耶穌一人，而那婦人在當中。

因此人民怎樣，祭司也怎樣；我必因他們所行的、察罰他們；我必照他們的行為還報與他們。

就使我們的心怎樣責備我們，我們在上帝面前仍可自安，因為上帝比我們的心大；他知道萬事。

這種人就證顯律法之功用是寫在他們自己心裏；他們的良知一同作證，他們的思想互相控告為有罪，或者自己辯護為無罪、

惡人自己的罪罰必捉住惡人；他必被自己的罪的繩索所纏住。
