Also you shall anoint Jehu the son of Nimshi as king over Israel. And Elisha the son of Shaphat of Abel Meholah you shall anoint as prophet in your place.

Also, anoint Jehu son of Nimshi king over Israel, and anoint Elisha son of Shaphat from Abel Meholah to succeed you as prophet.

Also anoint Jehu as king over Israel. He is the son of Nimshi. And anoint Elisha from Abel Meholah as the next prophet after you. He is the son of Shaphat.

And Jehu the son of Nimshi you shall anoint to be king over Israel, and Elisha the son of Shaphat of Abel-meholah you shall anoint to be prophet in your place.

Then anoint Jehu grandson of Nimshi to be king of Israel, and anoint Elisha son of Shaphat from the town of Abel meholah to replace you as my prophet.

You are to anoint Jehu son of Nimshi as king over Israel and Elisha son of Shaphat from Abel-meholah as prophet in your place.

So he departed from there, and found Elisha the son of Shaphat, who was plowing with twelve yoke of oxen before him, and he was with the twelfth. Then Elijah passed by him and threw his mantle on him.And he left the oxen and ran after Elijah, and said,“ Please let me kiss my father and my mother, and then I will follow you.” And he said to him,“ Go back again, for what have I done to you?”So Elisha turned back from him, and took a yoke of oxen and slaughtered them and boiled their flesh, using the oxen’s equipment, and gave it to the people, and they ate. Then he arose and followed Elijah, and became his servant.

And Elisha the prophet called one of the sons of the prophets, and said to him,“ Get yourself ready, take this flask of oil in your hand, and go to Ramoth Gilead.Now when you arrive at that place, look there for Jehu the son of Jehoshaphat, the son of Nimshi, and go in and make him rise up from among his associates, and take him to an inner room.Then take the flask of oil, and pour it on his head, and say,‘ Thus says the Lord:“ I have anointed you king over Israel.”’ Then open the door and flee, and do not delay.”So the young man, the servant of the prophet, went to Ramoth Gilead.And when he arrived, there were the captains of the army sitting; and he said,“ I have a message for you, Commander.” Jehu said,“ For which one of us?” And he said,“ For you, Commander.”Then he arose and went into the house. And he poured the oil on his head, and said to him,“ Thus says the Lord God of Israel:‘ I have anointed you king over the people of the Lord, over Israel.You shall strike down the house of Ahab your master, that I may avenge the blood of My servants the prophets, and the blood of all the servants of the Lord, at the hand of Jezebel.For the whole house of Ahab shall perish; and I will cut off from Ahab all the males in Israel, both bond and free.So I will make the house of Ahab like the house of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, and like the house of Baasha the son of Ahijah.The dogs shall eat Jezebel on the plot of ground at Jezreel, and there shall be none to bury her.’” And he opened the door and fled.Then Jehu came out to the servants of his master, and one said to him,“ Is all well? Why did this madman come to you?” And he said to them,“ You know the man and his babble.”And they said,“ A lie! Tell us now.” So he said,“ Thus and thus he spoke to me, saying,‘ Thus says the Lord:“ I have anointed you king over Israel.”’”Then each man hastened to take his garment and put it under him on the top of the steps; and they blew trumpets, saying,“ Jehu is king!”So Jehu the son of Jehoshaphat, the son of Nimshi, conspired against Joram.( Now Joram had been defending Ramoth Gilead, he and all Israel, against Hazael king of Syria.

Now when the sons of the prophets who were from Jericho saw him, they said,“ The spirit of Elijah rests on Elisha.” And they came to meet him, and bowed to the ground before him.

And so it was, when they had crossed over, that Elijah said to Elisha,“ Ask! What may I do for you, before I am taken away from you?” Elisha said,“ Please let a double portion of your spirit be upon me.”

Baana the son of Ahilud, in Taanach, Megiddo, and all Beth Shean, which is beside Zaretan below Jezreel, from Beth Shean to Abel Meholah, as far as the other side of Jokneam;

When the three hundred blew the trumpets, the Lord set every man’s sword against his companion throughout the whole camp; and the army fled to Beth Acacia, toward Zererah, as far as the border of Abel Meholah, by Tabbath.

And many lepers were in Israel in the time of Elisha the prophet, and none of them was cleansed except Naaman the Syrian.”
