今爾當遣人集以色列人眾、亦集耶洗別所供養四百五十事巴力之先知、與四百事亞舍拉之先知、咸至迦密山見我、亞哈遂遣人遍行以色列境、集以色列人眾與諸先知至迦密山、

希西家面壁禱主曰、

散眾後、耶穌獨登山祈禱、至暮、惟耶穌在彼、

寶座以上、群撒拉弗侍立、各有六翼、以二蔽面、以二蔽足、以二飛翔、

在諸聖大會中、天主甚可畏、在天主之四圍者、皆敬畏天主之威嚴、

當時耶穌出、往山祈禱、終夜祈禱天主、

當彼此認過、互為祈禱、則可得愈、蓋義人切切祈禱、甚為有力、以利亞為人與我儕同情、彼切求不雨、則不雨於地、歷三年有六月、後又祈禱、則天降雨、地遂產物、○

我天主歟、我含羞負愧、不敢向我天主仰面、蓋我儕罪惡滅頂、我儕愆尤滔天、

大衛為子祈禱天主、入內禁食、終夜臥於地、

亞伯拉罕之僕聞此言、俯伏於地、崇拜主、

遂稍進、伏地而禱曰、如斯時可免則免之、
