他們的祭壇你們卻要拆毀，他們的柱像你們要打碎，他們的亞舍拉你們要砍下。

於是以色列王把眾先知聚集了來，約有四百人，問他們：“我可以去攻打基列的拉末嗎？或是應當忍耐不去呢？”他們說：“你可以上去，主必把那城交在王的手裡。”

“猶大的罪是用鐵筆銘記的，是用金鋼鑽刻在他們的心版上，和他們（“他們”有古抄本作“你們”）祭壇的角上。他們的兒女也懷念著那些在各高岡上、在繁茂樹旁的祭壇和亞舍拉。

你要對他說：‘耶和華這樣說：你殺了人，又佔有他的產業嗎？’你又要對他說：‘耶和華這樣說：狗在甚麼地方舔拿伯的血，也必在甚麼地方舔你的血。’”

以色列王對約沙法說：“還有一個人，我們可以託他求問耶和華。不過我憎恨他，因為他對我說的預言，都是凶話，不是吉話。這人就是音拉的兒子米該雅。”但約沙法說：“請王不要這麼說。”

他們丟棄耶和華他們神的一切吩咐，為自己做了兩個牛犢的鑄像，又做亞舍拉，並且敬拜天上的萬象和服事巴力；

猶大王亞撒第三十八年，暗利的兒子亞哈登基作以色列王。暗利的兒子亞哈在撒瑪利亞作以色列王，共二十二年。暗利的兒子亞哈行耶和華看為惡的事，比他以前所有的王更厲害。

你反倒行惡，比那些在你以前的更壞；又去為自己製造了別的神和鑄造偶像惹我發怒，把我丟在背後。
