猶大把銀子丟進聖所，然後離開，出去吊死了。

他妻子對他說：“難道你還要堅守自己的純全嗎？你不如放棄神，死掉算了。”可是約伯對她說：“你說話像個愚妄的女人。難道我們從神得福，也不應當受禍嗎？”在這一切事上，約伯並沒有用口犯罪。

他急忙呼喊替他拿兵器的少年人，對他說：“拔出你的刀來，把我殺死吧。免得人講論我說：‘他被一個婦人所殺。’”於是那少年人把他刺透，他就死了。
