所羅門王用錘出來的金子打成二百面盾牌，每面盾牌用六百舍客勒錘出來的金子；又用錘出來的金子打成三百面小盾牌，每面小盾牌用三百舍客勒金子。王把它們放在黎巴嫩林宮裏。

我恨惡一切的勞碌，就是我在日光之下所勞碌的，因為我所得的必須留給我以後的人。那人是智慧是愚昧，誰能知道呢？他竟要掌管我在日光之下用智慧勞碌所得的。這也是虛空。

於是，埃及王示撒上來攻取耶路撒冷，奪了耶和華殿和王宮裏的寶物，盡都帶走，又奪走所羅門製造的金盾牌。羅波安王製造銅盾牌代替那些金盾牌，交給看守王宮宮門的護衛長看管。每逢王進耶和華的殿，護衛兵就來，舉起這些盾牌；隨後仍將盾牌送回護衛室。

所羅門王用錘出來的金子打成二百面盾牌，每面盾牌用六百舍客勒金子；又用錘出來的金子打成三百面小盾牌，每面小盾牌用三彌那金子。王把它們放在黎巴嫩林宮裏。

世人行動實係幻影，他們忙亂，真是枉然，積蓄財寶，不知將來有誰收取。

你定睛在財富，它就消失，因為它必長翅膀，如鷹向天飛去。

巴比倫王把耶和華殿裏和王宮裏一切的寶物從那裏拿走，又把以色列王所羅門所造耶和華殿裏一切的金器都毀壞了，正如耶和華所說的。

我僅此一次指着自己的神聖起誓，我絕不向大衛說謊！他的後裔要存到永遠，他的寶座在我面前如太陽，又如月亮永遠堅立；天上的見證是確實的。」（細拉）但你惱怒你的受膏者，拒絕他，離棄了他。你厭惡與你僕人所立的約，將他的冠冕踐踏於地。你拆毀了他一切的圍牆，使他的堡壘變為廢墟。過路的人都搶奪他，他成了鄰邦羞辱的對象。你高舉了他敵人的右手，使他所有的仇敵歡喜。你叫他的刀劍捲刃，使他在戰爭中站立不住。你使他的光輝止息，將他的寶座推倒於地。你減少他年輕的日子，又使他蒙羞。（細拉）

所羅門王做完了耶和華殿一切的工，就把他父親大衛分別為聖的金銀和器皿都帶來，放在耶和華殿的庫房裏。
