耶和华你的神选择作立他名的地方，如果离开你太远，你就可以照着我吩咐你的，把耶和华赐给你的牛羊取些宰杀了，可以在你的城里随意地吃。

你要为我筑一座土坛，把你的燔祭、平安祭和牛羊献在坛上；在我使人记念我名的地方，我都必到你那里去赐福你。

耶和华你们的神从你们各支派中，选择了什么地方作立他名的居所，你们就当到那里求问他；

因为耶和华拣选了锡安，定意把它当作自己的居所。他说：“这是我永远安息的居所；我要住在这里，因为我定意这样作。

‘自从我把我的子民以色列领出埃及的日子以来，我未曾在以色列的各支派中拣选一座城，建造殿宇，作我名的居所；但我拣选了大卫治理我的子民以色列。’

“如果你的子民出去与仇敌争战，无论你派他们到哪处，他们若是向你所拣选的这城，并向我为你的名建造的这殿祷告，
