Even after this, Jeroboam did not change his evil ways, but once more appointed priests for the high places from all sorts of people. Anyone who wanted to become a priest he consecrated for the high places.

耶罗波安为邱坛、公山羊神，以及他铸造的牛犊，自己设立了祭司。

你们不是驱逐了耶和华的祭司，亚伦的子孙和利未人吗？你们不是像世上万民为自己立祭司吗？无论什么人牵来一头公牛犊和七只公绵羊，自己授圣职，就可以作那本不是神的祭司。

但恶人和骗子必越来越坏，他们欺骗人，也必受欺骗。

帐幕要起行的时候，利未人要把它拆卸下来；帐幕要支搭的时候，利未人要把它竖立起来；如果有外人走近，必须处死。

神击杀他们的时候，他们就寻求他；他们回转过来，切切求问神。

耶罗波安在邱坛那里建殿，把不是利未子孙的平民立为祭司。耶罗波安又定了八月十五日为节期，像在犹大的节期一样，他自己在祭坛上献祭，他在伯特利也是这样向他所铸造的牛犊献祭；他又在伯特利为他所建造的邱坛设立祭司。八月十五日，就是他心里私定作为以色列人节期的日子，他在伯特利在自己所建的祭坛上献祭烧香。

米迦立了这利未青年作他的祭司，住在米迦的家里。

以色列人对摩西说：“我们要死了，我们灭亡了，我们都灭亡了。走近耶和华帐幕的，都必定死；难道我们都要死吗？”

你要把这些给你哥哥亚伦和他的儿子们穿上，又要膏抹他们，按立他们，把他们分别为圣，好使他们可以作我的祭司。

看哪！耶和华下令，大楼就粉碎，小屋也要破裂。

我拣选的那人，他的杖必发芽；这样，我就必使以色列人向你们所发的怨言止息，不再达到我耳中。”

你要委派亚伦和他的儿子，使他们谨守自己祭司的职分；外人走近，必被治死。”

陶匠用他手中的泥所做的器皿坏了，他就用这泥再做别的器皿，照着自己的意思去作。
