他就對那從猶大來的神人喊着說：『永恆主這麼說：「你既違背了永恆主所吩咐的，不遵守永恆主你的上帝所囑咐你的命令，

遂向自猶大來之上帝僕呼曰、耶和華云、因爾違耶和華之言、不守爾上帝耶和華所命、

告自猶大而至上帝之僕、曰、耶和華云、因爾違命、不守爾上帝耶和華誡、

謂自猶大來之神人曰、主如是云、因爾違背主言、不守主爾天主所諭爾之誡、

He cried out to the man who had come from Judah. He told him,“ The Lord says,‘ You have not done what I told you to do. You have not obeyed the command I gave you. I am the Lord your God.

And he cried to the man of God who came from Judah,“ Thus says the Lord,‘ Because you have disobeyed the word of the Lord and have not kept the command that the Lord your God commanded you,

And he cried unto the man of God that came from Judah, saying, Thus saith the LORD, Forasmuch as thou hast disobeyed the mouth of the LORD, and hast not kept the commandment which the LORD thy God commanded thee,

and he cried out to the prophet from Judah,“ This is what the LORD says,‘ You have rebelled against the LORD and have not obeyed the command the LORD your God gave you.

and he cried out to the man of God who came from Judah, saying,“ Yahweh says,‘ Because you have been disobedient to Yahweh’s mouth, and have not kept the commandment which Yahweh your God commanded you,

Your wickedness will punish you; your backsliding will rebuke you. Consider then and realize how evil and bitter it is for you when you forsake the Lord your God and have no awe of me,” declares the Lord, the Lord Almighty.

Those whom I love I rebuke and discipline. So be earnest and repent.

“ Aaron will be gathered to his people. He will not enter the land I give the Israelites, because both of you rebelled against my command at the waters of Meribah.

When he mentioned the ark of God, Eli fell backward off his chair by the side of the gate. His neck was broken and he died, for he was an old man, and he was heavy. He had led Israel forty years.

So Gad went to David and said to him,“ Shall there come on you three years of famine in your land? Or three months of fleeing from your enemies while they pursue you? Or three days of plague in your land? Now then, think it over and decide how I should answer the one who sent me.”

But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach a gospel other than the one we preached to you, let them be under God’s curse!As we have already said, so now I say again: If anybody is preaching to you a gospel other than what you accepted, let them be under God’s curse!

“ You have done a foolish thing,” Samuel said.“ You have not kept the command the Lord your God gave you; if you had, he would have established your kingdom over Israel for all time.But now your kingdom will not endure; the Lord has sought out a man after his own heart and appointed him ruler of his people, because you have not kept the Lord’s command.”

But Samuel replied:“ Does the Lord delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices as much as in obeying the Lord? To obey is better than sacrifice, and to heed is better than the fat of rams.For rebellion is like the sin of divination, and arrogance like the evil of idolatry. Because you have rejected the word of the Lord, he has rejected you as king.”Then Saul said to Samuel,“ I have sinned. I violated the Lord’s command and your instructions. I was afraid of the men and so I gave in to them.
