他就對那從猶大來的神人喊着說：『永恆主這麼說：「你既違背了永恆主所吩咐的，不遵守永恆主你的上帝所囑咐你的命令，

遂向自猶大來之上帝僕呼曰、耶和華云、因爾違耶和華之言、不守爾上帝耶和華所命、

告自猶大而至上帝之僕、曰、耶和華云、因爾違命、不守爾上帝耶和華誡、

謂自猶大來之神人曰、主如是云、因爾違背主言、不守主爾天主所諭爾之誡、

He cried out to the man of God who had come from Judah,“ This is what the Lord says:‘ You have defied the word of the Lord and have not kept the command the Lord your God gave you.

He cried out to the man who had come from Judah. He told him,“ The Lord says,‘ You have not done what I told you to do. You have not obeyed the command I gave you. I am the Lord your God.

Thine own wickedness shall correct thee, and thy backslidings shall reprove thee: know therefore and see that it is an evil thing and a bitter, that thou hast forsaken Jehovah thy God, and that my fear is not in thee, saith the Lord, Jehovah of hosts.

As many as I love, I reprove and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent.

Aaron shall be gathered unto his people; for he shall not enter into the land which I have given unto the children of Israel, because ye rebelled against my word at the waters of Meribah.

And the anger of Jehovah was kindled against Uzzah; and God smote him there for his error; and there he died by the ark of God.

for it was said to me by the word of Jehovah, Thou shalt eat no bread nor drink water there, nor turn again to go by the way that thou camest.

So Gad came to David, and told him, and said unto him, Shall seven years of famine come unto thee in thy land? or wilt thou flee three months before thy foes while they pursue thee? or shall there be three days’ pestilence in thy land? now advise thee, and consider what answer I shall return to him that sent me.

But though we, or an angel from heaven, should preach unto you any gospel other than that which we preached unto you, let him be anathema.As we have said before, so say I now again, If any man preacheth unto you any gospel other than that which ye received, let him be anathema.

And Samuel said to Saul, Thou hast done foolishly; thou hast not kept the commandment of Jehovah thy God, which he commanded thee: for now would Jehovah have established thy kingdom upon Israel for ever.But now thy kingdom shall not continue: Jehovah hath sought him a man after his own heart, and Jehovah hath appointed him to be prince over his people, because thou hast not kept that which Jehovah commanded thee.

And Jehovah said unto Moses and Aaron, Because ye believed not in me, to sanctify me in the eyes of the children of Israel, therefore ye shall not bring this assembly into the land which I have given them.

Wherefore then didst thou not obey the voice of Jehovah, but didst fly upon the spoil, and didst that which was evil in the sight of Jehovah?

And Samuel said, Hath Jehovah as great delight in burnt- offerings and sacrifices, as in obeying the voice of Jehovah? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, and to hearken than the fat of rams.For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness is as idolatry and teraphim. Because thou hast rejected the word of Jehovah, he hath also rejected thee from being king.And Saul said unto Samuel, I have sinned; for I have transgressed the commandment of Jehovah, and thy words, because I feared the people, and obeyed their voice.

And the eyes of them both were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig- leaves together, and made themselves aprons.

Wherefore hast thou despised the word of Jehovah, to do that which is evil in his sight? thou hast smitten Uriah the Hittite with the sword, and hast taken his wife to be thy wife, and hast slain him with the sword of the children of Ammon.Now therefore the sword shall never depart from thy house, because thou hast despised me, and hast taken the wife of Uriah the Hittite to be thy wife.Thus saith Jehovah, Behold, I will raise up evil against thee out of thine own house; and I will take thy wives before thine eyes, and give them unto thy neighbor, and he shall lie with thy wives in the sight of this sun.
