神人憑着永恆主的話攻擊那祭壇而喊叫、說：『壇哪，壇哪，永恆主這麼說：「大衛王室必生個兒子、名叫約西亞；他必將邱壇的祭司、就是在你上面燻祭的、宰殺在你上面；人必將人的骨頭燒在你上面。」』

By the word of the Lord he cried out against the altar:“ Altar, altar! This is what the Lord says:‘ A son named Josiah will be born to the house of David. On you he will sacrifice the priests of the high places who make offerings here, and human bones will be burned on you.’”

The man cried out. He shouted a message from the Lord against the altar. He said,“ Altar! Altar! The Lord says,‘ A son named Josiah will be born into the royal family of David. Altar, listen to me! Josiah will sacrifice the priests of the high places on you. They will be the children of the priests who are offering sacrifices here. So human bones will be burned on you.’ ”

Then at the Lord’s command, he shouted,“ O altar, altar! This is what the Lord says: A child named Josiah will be born into the dynasty of David. On you he will sacrifice the priests from the pagan shrines who come here to burn incense, and human bones will be burned on you.”

The man of God cried out against the altar by the word of the LORD:“ Altar, altar, this is what the LORD says,‘ A son will be born to the house of David, named Josiah, and he will sacrifice on you the priests of the high places who are burning incense on you. Human bones will be burned on you.’”

And he cried out against the altar by the word of the Lord and said,“ Altar, altar, this is what the Lord says:‘ Behold, a son shall be born to the house of David, Josiah by name; and on you he shall sacrifice the priests of the high places who burn incense on you, and human bones shall burn on you.’ ”

Then he cried out against the altar by the word of the Lord, and said,“ O altar, altar! Thus says the Lord:‘ Behold, a child, Josiah by name, shall be born to the house of David; and on you he shall sacrifice the priests of the high places who burn incense on you, and men’s bones shall be burned on you.’”

And he cried against the altar by the word of Jehovah, and said, O altar, altar, thus saith Jehovah: Behold, a son shall be born unto the house of David, Josiah by name; and upon thee shall he sacrifice the priests of the high places that burn incense upon thee, and men’s bones shall they burn upon thee.

The man of God cried out against the altar by a revelation from the Lord:“ Altar, altar, this is what the Lord says,‘ A son will be born to the house of David, named Josiah, and he will sacrifice on you the priests of the high places who are burning incense on you. Human bones will be burned on you.’”

And he cried against the altar in the word of the LORD, and said, O altar, altar, thus saith the LORD; Behold, a child shall be born unto the house of David, Josiah by name; and upon thee shall he offer the priests of the high places that burn incense upon thee, and men’s bones shall be burnt upon thee.

With the authority of the LORD he cried out against the altar,“ O altar, altar! This is what the LORD says,‘ Look, a son named Josiah will be born to the Davidic dynasty. He will sacrifice on you the priests of the high places who offer sacrifices on you. Human bones will be burned on you.’”

He cried against the altar by Yahweh’s word, and said,“ Altar! Altar! Yahweh says:‘ Behold, a son will be born to David’s house, Josiah by name. On you he will sacrifice the priests of the high places who burn incense on you, and they will burn men’s bones on you.’”

“ Give ear, O heavens, and I will speak, and let the earth hear the words of my mouth.

“ And you, son of man, prophesy to the mountains of Israel, and say, O mountains of Israel, hear the word of the Lord.

And they chopped down the altars of the Baals in his presence, and he cut down the incense altars that stood above them. And he broke in pieces the Asherim and the carved and the metal images, and he made dust of them and scattered it over the graves of those who had sacrificed to them.He also burned the bones of the priests on their altars and cleansed Judah and Jerusalem.And in the cities of Manasseh, Ephraim, and Simeon, and as far as Naphtali, in their ruins all around,he broke down the altars and beat the Asherim and the images into powder and cut down all the incense altars throughout all the land of Israel. Then he returned to Jerusalem.

Hear, O heavens, and give ear, O earth; for the Lord has spoken:“ Children have I reared and brought up, but they have rebelled against me.

Josiah was eight years old when he began to reign, and he reigned thirty-one years in Jerusalem. His mother’s name was Jedidah the daughter of Adaiah of Bozkath.And he did what was right in the eyes of the Lord and walked in all the way of David his father, and he did not turn aside to the right or to the left.

I declared them to you from of old, before they came to pass I announced them to you, lest you should say,‘ My idol did them, my carved image and my metal image commanded them.’“ You have heard; now see all this; and will you not declare it? From this time forth I announce to you new things, hidden things that you have not known.They are created now, not long ago; before today you have never heard of them, lest you should say,‘ Behold, I knew them.’

“ Cry aloud; do not hold back; lift up your voice like a trumpet; declare to my people their transgression, to the house of Jacob their sins.

O land, land, land, hear the word of the Lord!

Moreover, the altar at Bethel, the high place erected by Jeroboam the son of Nebat, who made Israel to sin, that altar with the high place he pulled down and burned, reducing it to dust. He also burned the Asherah.And as Josiah turned, he saw the tombs there on the mount. And he sent and took the bones out of the tombs and burned them on the altar and defiled it, according to the word of the Lord that the man of God proclaimed, who had predicted these things.Then he said,“ What is that monument that I see?” And the men of the city told him,“ It is the tomb of the man of God who came from Judah and predicted these things that you have done against the altar at Bethel.”And he said,“ Let him be; let no man move his bones.” So they let his bones alone, with the bones of the prophet who came out of Samaria.

who confirms the word of his servant and fulfills the counsel of his messengers, who says of Jerusalem,‘ She shall be inhabited,’ and of the cities of Judah,‘ They shall be built, and I will raise up their ruins’;who says to the deep,‘ Be dry; I will dry up your rivers’;who says of Cyrus,‘ He is my shepherd, and he shall fulfill all my purpose’; saying of Jerusalem,‘ She shall be built,’ and of the temple,‘ Your foundation shall be laid.’”

declaring the end from the beginning and from ancient times things not yet done, saying,‘ My counsel shall stand, and I will accomplish all my purpose,’

He answered,“ I tell you, if these were silent, the very stones would cry out.”

therefore, O mountains of Israel, hear the word of the Lord God: Thus says the Lord God to the mountains and the hills, the ravines and the valleys, the desolate wastes and the deserted cities, which have become a prey and derision to the rest of the nations all around,

For the saying that he called out by the word of the Lord against the altar in Bethel and against all the houses of the high places that are in the cities of Samaria shall surely come to pass.”

And I will turn you about and put hooks into your jaws, and I will bring you out, and all your army, horses and horsemen, all of them clothed in full armor, a great host, all of them with buckler and shield, wielding swords.

Behold, the former things have come to pass, and new things I now declare; before they spring forth I tell you of them.”

Josiah was eight years old when he began to reign, and he reigned thirty-one years in Jerusalem.
