素來認識掃羅的，看見他和先知一同受感說話，就彼此說：「基士的兒子遇見甚麼了？掃羅也列在先知中嗎？」

這抹牆的就是以色列的先知，他們指着耶路撒冷說預言，為這城見了平安的異象，其實沒有平安。這是主耶和華說的。」

神迎見巴蘭；巴蘭說：「我預備了七座壇，在每座壇上獻了一隻公牛，一隻公羊。」耶和華將話傳給巴蘭，又說：「你回到巴勒那裏，要如此如此說。」

人若不知道管理自己的家，焉能照管神的教會呢？

當那日必有許多人對我說：『主啊，主啊，我們不是奉你的名傳道，奉你的名趕鬼，奉你的名行許多異能嗎？』

「人子啊，你要說預言攻擊以色列中說預言的先知，對那些本己心發預言的說：『你們當聽耶和華的話。』」

巴蘭舉目，看見以色列人照着支派居住。神的靈就臨到他身上，

他卻為自己的過犯受了責備；那不能說話的驢以人言攔阻先知的狂妄。

有人從那裏經過，看見屍身倒在路上，獅子站在屍身旁邊，就來到老先知所住的城裏述說這事。
