By the word of the Lord a man of God came from Judah to Bethel, as Jeroboam was standing by the altar to make an offering.

A man of God went from Judah to Bethel. He had received a message from the Lord. He arrived in Bethel just as Jeroboam was standing by the altar to offer a sacrifice.

And behold, a man of God came out of Judah by the word of the Lord to Bethel. Jeroboam was standing by the altar to make offerings.

At the Lord’s command, a man of God from Judah went to Bethel, arriving there just as Jeroboam was approaching the altar to burn incense.

A man of God came, however, from Judah to Bethel by the word of the LORD while Jeroboam was standing beside the altar to burn incense.

Now behold, a man of God came from Judah to Bethel by the word of the Lord, while Jeroboam was standing at the altar to burn incense.

And behold, a man of God went from Judah to Bethel by the word of the Lord, and Jeroboam stood by the altar to burn incense.

And, behold, there came a man of God out of Judah by the word of Jehovah unto Beth- el: and Jeroboam was standing by the altar to burn incense.

A man of God came from Judah to Bethel by a revelation from the Lord while Jeroboam was standing beside the altar to burn incense.

And, behold, there came a man of God out of Judah by the word of the LORD unto Bethel: and Jeroboam stood by the altar to burn incense.

Just then a prophet from Judah, sent by the LORD, arrived in Bethel, as Jeroboam was standing near the altar ready to offer a sacrifice.

Behold, a man of God came out of Judah by Yahweh’s word to Bethel; and Jeroboam was standing by the altar to burn incense.

耶羅波安私設節期於八月之望、效猶大節期、上祭壇獻祭、在伯特利亦如斯行、祭所作之犢、又在伯特利為所築之邱壇立祭司、耶羅波安在私意所定之月、即八月、是月之望、為以色列人定為節期、上伯特利所築之壇、獻祭焚香、

約西亞曰、我見彼有碑、斯何碑也、邑人告之曰、昔有神人自猶大而來、預言王所行於伯特利壇之事、此其墓之碑也、

天主命神人示瑪雅曰、

我儕以主之言告爾、迨主降臨時、我儕尚生者、必不先乎已死之人、

萬有之主曰、自日出之所、至日入之處、列邦之人、將將或作皆尊我名為大、各處人將將或作皆為我名為我名或作奉我名焚香、獻清潔之祭品、蓋我名在列邦中、將將或作見尊為大、

攻邑之迦勒底人、必來以火焚斯邑、斯邑之民、曾在屋頂、焚香於巴力、奠酒於他神、干我震怒、故此屋俱必焚燬、

自猶大王亞們子約西亞十三年、迄於今日、歷二十三年、主恆有言諭我、我亦恆告爾、夙興告爾、惟爾不聽、

所羅門其餘始終之事、載於先知拿單之書、與示羅人亞希雅預言之書、及先見耶多論尼八子耶羅波安默示之書、

阻烏西雅王曰、烏西雅歟、焚香於主前、非爾所可、惟亞倫子孫為祭司特立以焚香者方可、爾已犯罪、當出聖所、爾行此事、主天主不使爾得榮、

為以色列人作誌、免外族人、非亞倫之子孫、來主前焚香、恐遇可拉與其黨所遭之害、即主託摩西預告彼眾必遭之害、

使神人歸之老先知聞之、曰、此神人也、因違背主言、故主付之於獅、使獅傷害之、噬斃之、以應主諭彼之言、

猶大諸邑及耶路撒冷居民、遭患難之時、必往呼籲諸神、即素焚香以事之者、惟不能救、

有先知弟子奉主命謂同伴曰、爾擊我、其人不肯擊、

又一天使執金香爐來、立於祭臺側、又得多香、以與聖徒祈禱、同獻於寶座前之金臺、

壇亦裂、壇上之灰亦傾、應神人奉主命所言之預兆、

蓋有主之命諭我云、毋食餅、毋飲水在伯特利、毋由所往之途而返、

蓋彼奉主命指伯特利之壇、及撒瑪利亞諸邑崇邱之室、所呼之言、其後必應、○
