我所揀選的禁食不是要鬆開凶惡的繩，解下軛上的索，使被欺壓的得自由，折斷一切的軛嗎？

人子啊，雖有荊棘和蒺藜在你那裏，你又住在蠍子中間，總不要怕他們，也不要怕他們的話；他們雖是悖逆之家，還不要怕他們的話，也不要因他們的臉色驚惶。

埃及人嚴嚴地使以色列人做工，使他們因做苦工覺得命苦；無論是和泥，是做磚，是做田間各樣的工，在一切的工上都嚴嚴地待他們。

亞撒因此惱恨先見，將他囚在監裏。那時亞撒也虐待一些人民。

那時你們必因所選的王哀求耶和華，耶和華卻不應允你們。」

又說：「看哪，這地的以色列人如今眾多，你們竟叫他們歇下擔子！」當天，法老吩咐督工的和官長說：「你們不可照常把草給百姓做磚，叫他們自己去撿草。他們素常做磚的數目，你們仍舊向他們要，一點不可減少；因為他們是懶惰的，所以呼求說：『容我們去祭祀我們的神。』你們要把更重的工夫加在這些人身上，叫他們勞碌，不聽虛謊的言語。」

但哪一邦肯把頸項放在巴比倫王的軛下服事他，我必使那邦仍在本地存留，得以耕種居住。這是耶和華說的。」

照着少年人所出的主意對民說：「我父親使你們負重軛，我必使你們負更重的軛！我父親用鞭子責打你們，我要用蠍子鞭責打你們！」

有蝗蟲從煙中出來，飛到地上；有能力賜給牠們，好像地上蠍子的能力一樣，並且吩咐牠們說，不可傷害地上的草和各樣青物，並一切樹木，惟獨要傷害額上沒有神印記的人。但不許蝗蟲害死他們，只叫他們受痛苦五個月。這痛苦就像蠍子螫人的痛苦一樣。在那些日子，人要求死，決不得死；願意死，死卻遠避他們。蝗蟲的形狀，好像預備出戰的馬一樣，頭上戴的好像金冠冕，臉面好像男人的臉面，頭髮像女人的頭髮，牙齒像獅子的牙齒。胸前有甲，好像鐵甲。牠們翅膀的聲音，好像許多車馬奔跑上陣的聲音。有尾巴像蠍子，尾巴上的毒鈎能傷人五個月。

現在你們去做工吧！草是不給你們的，磚卻要如數交納。」

「你去告訴哈拿尼雅說，耶和華如此說：你折斷木軛，卻換了鐵軛！因為萬軍之耶和華－以色列的神如此說：我已將鐵軛加在這些國的頸項上，使他們服事巴比倫王尼布甲尼撒，他們總要服事他；我也把田野的走獸給了他。」
