吾知凡為天主所生者、不犯罪；以有天主之惟一聖子為之監護、而元兇莫之能近也。

We know that anyone born of God does not continue to sin; the One who was born of God keeps them safe, and the evil one cannot harm them.

We know that those who are children of God do not keep on sinning. The Son of God keeps them safe. The evil one can’t harm them.

We know that everyone who has been born of God does not keep on sinning, but he who was born of God protects him, and the evil one does not touch him.

故凡天主所生者、不犯罪、良以天主之道根、常存其心中故也。蓋既為天主之所生、尚能沉溺於罪中乎。

庶克長遊於天主聖愛之中、而望我主耶穌基督加以慈惠、賜以常生。

凡信耶穌為基督者、乃生於天主者也。凡孝其親者亦必愛其親之所出。

吾知爾之行實。識之哉、吾已置一洞開之門於爾前、人莫得而閉焉。蓋爾力量薄弱、竟能篤守吾道、而未背棄吾名。識之哉、吾將使沙殫黨徒、自欺欺人、名為猶太人而實非者、相率趨爾、屈膝於爾足下、俾知吾之如何愛爾。爾既守吾寬忍之道、吾亦當於全世之人遭受試練時、保爾於難。

棄邪從正。孜孜兀兀。

蓋爾之新生、非萌自可朽之種子、乃藉永生天主之聖道、而萌於不朽之種子也。

惟父憑其自由聖意、以真實無妄之道、予吾人以再造、俾充先薦之果、而與萬物更始；

嗣後不復與爾多言、蓋斯世之君行將見臨。彼亦何有於我？

勿效該因、彼乃元兇之屬、而殘殺其兄弟者也。且彼亦何為而殺之耶？非以其行之邪惡、而其兄弟之孳孳為善乎。

吾人則屬於天主、惟識天主者樂聽吾言。凡不屬天主者、則不我聽也。靈感之真偽正邪、可以由是而辨矣。

卓哉身分。若輩之生。非緣血氣。惟自天主。無與人意。

惟天主我等救主能保佑爾曹、不致失足、庇爾於其光榮之下、使爾毫無瑕疵、神樂洋溢。

凡向天父懷此望德者、亦必努力自致聖潔、以期克配聖潔之天父也。

耿耿懷主訓。習俗非所尚。驕人行殘暴。何曾敢傚倣。

吾知爾所處之地域、乃沙殫王位之所在也；而爾堅奉吾名、確乎不拔；即當吾之忠實證人安第巴被害於沙殫所寓之爾處時、爾之信德亦未被搖動。

暮夜來謁耶穌曰：『夫子吾人深知子之來教誨也、乃奉天主之聖命、蓋子所行之靈蹟、苟非天主所輔佑、其孰能行之？』耶穌應之曰：『我切實語爾、人非重生不得見天主國。』尼閣德睦曰：『人既老、安得重生？寧能再入母胎、以得重生乎？』耶穌對曰：『我切實語爾、人非生於水及神者、無得入天主國。
