為諸事作證、而筆之於書者、即為斯徒。吾人固知其所證之誠實無妄也。

今爾曹所見所識之跛者得以痊復、實由信賴其聖名耳。此人在爾眾之前、能證其康復如常者、惟憑耶穌所賜之信德而已。
