毋復仇、毋怨憾本國之人、當愛人如己、我乃主、

耶穌答曰、諸誡之首云、以色列人、聽之哉、主我天主、乃獨一之主、爾當盡心盡性盡意盡力、愛主爾之天主、此首誡也、其次愛人如己、亦如之、諸誡未有大於此二者、經士謂之曰、善哉師歟、所言誠是、天主惟一、其外無他、且盡心盡性盡意盡力愛之、又愛人如己、勝於一切火焚之祭、及諸祭祀、耶穌見其應對有智、謂之曰、爾離天主國不遠矣、自是無敢問之者、○

耶穌曰、爾當盡心盡性盡意愛主爾之天主、此乃諸誡之首、且最大者、其次、愛人如己、亦如之、此二誡、乃律法及先知之大綱、原文作全律法及先知皆繫於此二誡○

兄弟乎、爾曹蒙召以得自由、然勿以爾之自由、為縱欲之機、惟以愛互相服事、蓋全律法、一言以蔽之、曰、愛人如己、

爾當盡心盡意盡力、愛主爾之天主、

爾若遵守經所載愛人如己之至法、至法原文作王法則善矣、爾若以貌取人則獲罪、被律法所譴為犯法者、守全律法而犯一誡、即犯諸誡、蓋言勿淫者、亦言勿殺、則爾雖不淫而殺人、亦為犯全律法、爾或言或行、當念必將按使人自由之律法受審判、

眾援之、引至亞畧巴古、曰、爾所說之新教、我儕可知乎、
