此無始無終、向與聖父相俱之生命、曾現身於世。其在世時、吾人既得親炙、爰為作證、而宣之於爾。

The life appeared; we have seen it and testify to it, and we proclaim to you the eternal life, which was with the Father and has appeared to us.

This life has appeared. We have seen him. We are witnesses about him. And we announce to you this same eternal life. He was already with the Father. He has appeared to us.

大家公認地、大哉、敬虔之事的奧祕！他顯現於肉身裏，他被斷為得勝於靈裏，他現給天使們看見，他被宣傳於外國中，被信奉於遍世界，被接上於榮耀中。

犯罪的乃是出於魔鬼，因為魔鬼從起初就犯罪。上帝的兒子顯現出來，就是要毁滅魔鬼的作為。

你們呢、也要作見證，因為從起初你們就同我在一起。

而有永生之盼望的。這永生是不撒謊的上帝在歷時歷世以前所應許、

在永恆主行化之起頭、他就造了我，做他從太初所作的頭一項。從亙古、從起初、從地之起點開始以前，他就立了我。沒有深淵、沒有浩瀚之水的泉源以先，我已誕生。大山未曾奠下，小山未有之先，我已誕生；那時永恆主還沒有造大地和原野，也未曾造世界上塵土之頭一團。他立定了天，我在那裏；他在深淵面上畫了天穹，使雲霄堅固於上面，使深淵的水泉穩定；他為洋海定出界限，叫水不越犯其命令，他又畫定了大地的根基；那時我在他身邊為小孩，天天愉快喜悅，時時在他面前嬉戲，

耶穌對他說：『我就是道路，就是「真實」，就是生命；若不是藉着我，就沒有人能來找父。

起初有道，道與上帝同在，道是上帝之真體。這道起初與上帝同在；

生命之原，你們竟殺害了，上帝卻叫他從死人中活了起來；我們呢、就是這事的見證人。

如今藉着我們的救主基督耶穌之顯現為人所顯明出來的。他把死廢掉，又藉着福音將生命與「不朽」彰顯出來。

我由父而出、到世界上來；又要離開世界、往父那裏去。』

所以我這同做長老的、做基督受苦之見證人的、又是在將要顯示的榮耀中有分的、勸你們中間同做長老的。

如今父啊，求你用未有世界以先我和你同在時所有的榮耀、在你自己面前榮耀我。

耶穌從死人中得甦活起來、向門徒顯現、這已是第三次。

除了那從天上降下來的人子，沒有人升過天。

這耶穌、上帝已經使他復起了，我們呢、都是這事的見證人。

從約翰之施洗起、到主從我們中間被接上升的日子為止，所有同我們來往的這些人中間、必須有一位、同我們作他復活的見證。』

不是顯於眾民，乃是顯於上帝所先選派的見證人，顯於我們這些在他從死人中復起以後和他同喫同喝的人。

我從我父所看見的，我就說出來；你們從你們的父所聽見的，你們也作出來！』
