The life appeared; we have seen it and testify to it, and we proclaim to you the eternal life, which was with the Father and has appeared to us.

正如大家所承認的，敬神的奧祕是極大的：神以肉身顯現，被聖靈證實，被天使觀看，被傳於萬邦，被世人信仰，被接在榮耀裡。

繼續犯罪的人屬於魔鬼，因為魔鬼從起初就一直犯罪。為此，神的兒子顯現了，是為了廢除魔鬼的作為。

並且你們也要做見證，因為你們從一開始就與我在一起。

這是基於那永恆生命的盼望，而這盼望是那不撒謊的神在亙古以前所應許的。

在耶和華創世之始，在太初創造以先，他就擁有了我。從亙古、從最初、從大地之始，我已經被立。在沒有深淵、沒有湧流眾水的泉源之時，我已經誕生。在群山被安置以先、岡陵被安置之前，我已經誕生。那時耶和華還沒有造大地、田野，也沒有造世上最初的塵土。在他確立諸天時，我在那裡——他在淵面上立定圓穹，他布置天上的雲朵，使深淵的泉眼噴湧；他為海洋設立界限，使眾水不能違背他的吩咐；他立定了大地的根基——那時我在他身邊為工匠，是他每天的喜樂，時時在他面前歡笑，

耶穌說：「我就是道路、真理、生命。要不是藉著我，沒有人能到父那裡去。

太初有道，道與神同在，道就是神。這道太初與神同在。

你們殺害了生命的創始者，神卻使他從死人中復活了！我們就是這事的見證人。

而現在，藉著我們的救主基督耶穌的顯現，已經表明出來；基督一方面廢除了死亡，另一方面藉著福音彰顯了生命和不朽。

我從父而出，來到這世界；又要離開這世界，到父那裡去。」

所以，我這同做長老的、做基督苦難見證人的、也在那將要顯現的榮耀中有份的，我懇求你們中間的長老們：

父啊，現在願你用那榮耀，與你自己一起榮耀我，那榮耀是世界存在以前我與你一起就有的。

耶穌從死人中復活後，這已經是他第三次向門徒們顯現了。

除了從天上降下來的人子，沒有人升過天。

「這位耶穌，神已經使他復活了。我們都是這事的見證人。

不是顯現給全體民眾，而是顯現給神預先選定的見證人，就是我們這些在他從死人中復活以後，與他一起吃、一起喝的人。

我所說的，是我從我父那裡所看到的；而實際上，你們所做的，是從你們的父那裡所聽到的。」
