For it is written in the Law of Moses:“ Do not muzzle an ox while it is treading out the grain.” Is it about oxen that God is concerned?

Here is what is written in the Law of Moses.“ Do not stop an ox from eating while it helps separate the grain from the straw.”( Deuteronomy 25:4) Is it oxen that God is concerned about?

For it is written in the Law of Moses,“ You shall not muzzle an ox when it treads out the grain.” Is it for oxen that God is concerned?

For the law of Moses says,“ You must not muzzle an ox to keep it from eating as it treads out the grain.” Was God thinking only about oxen when he said this?

For it is written in the law of Moses,“ Do not muzzle an ox while it is treading out the grain.” God is not concerned here about oxen, is he?

You shall not muzzle the ox when he treads out the grain.

For the Scripture says,“ You shall not muzzle the ox when it treads out the grain.” And,“ The laborer is worthy of his wages.”

These all wait for you, that you may give them their food in due season.

The eyes of all wait for you. You give them their food in due season.You open your hand, and satisfy the desire of every living thing.

Consider the ravens: they don’t sow, they don’t reap, they have no warehouse or barn, and God feeds them. How much more valuable are you than birds!Which of you by being anxious can add a cubit to his height?If then you aren’t able to do even the least things, why are you anxious about the rest?Consider the lilies, how they grow. They don’t toil, neither do they spin; yet I tell you, even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.But if this is how God clothes the grass in the field, which today exists, and tomorrow is cast into the oven, how much more will he clothe you, O you of little faith?

but the seventh day is a Sabbath to Yahweh your God, in which you shall not do any work— neither you, nor your son, nor your daughter, nor your male servant, nor your female servant, nor your ox, nor your donkey, nor any of your livestock, nor your stranger who is within your gates; that your male servant and your female servant may rest as well as you.

who covers the sky with clouds, who prepares rain for the earth, who makes grass grow on the mountains.He provides food for the livestock, and for the young ravens when they call.

See the birds of the sky, that they don’t sow, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns. Your heavenly Father feeds them. Aren’t you of much more value than they?“ Which of you, by being anxious, can add one moment to his lifespan?Why are you anxious about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow. They don’t toil, neither do they spin,yet I tell you that even Solomon in all his glory was not dressed like one of these.But if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today exists, and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, won’t he much more clothe you, you of little faith?

You shall not see your brother’s ox or his sheep go astray and hide yourself from them. You shall surely bring them again to your brother.If your brother isn’t near to you, or if you don’t know him, then you shall bring it home to your house, and it shall be with you until your brother comes looking for it, and you shall restore it to him.So you shall do with his donkey. Behold, I have come out as an adversary, because your way is perverse before me.The donkey saw me, and turned away before me these three times. Unless she had turned away from me, surely now I would have killed you, and saved her alive.”Balaam said to Yahweh’s angel,“ I have sinned; for I didn’t know that you stood in the way against me. Now therefore, if it displeases you, I will go back again.”Yahweh’s angel said to Balaam,“ Go with the men; but only the word that I shall speak to you, that you shall speak.” So Balaam went with the princes of Balak.

Shouldn’t I be concerned for Nineveh, that great city, in which are more than one hundred twenty thousand persons who can’t discern between their right hand and their left hand; and also much livestock?”
