那么，我的报偿到底是什么呢？就是：我传福音的时候，能免费地提供福音，好使我不会充分利用在福音工作上属自己的权利。

既是这样，我的赏赐是什么呢？就是我传福音的时候叫人不花钱得福音，免得用尽我传福音的权柄。

这样，我的赏赐是什么呢？就是我传福音的时候，使人不花钱得福音，免得我用尽了传福音的权利。

那麼，我的報償到底是什麼呢？就是：我傳福音的時候，能免費地提供福音，好使我不會充分利用在福音工作上屬自己的權利。

然則我之賞維何、即宣福音、使人不費而得之、免我盡用福音之權也、

我自詡何歟、即傳基督福音、未嘗傷人之財、雖有權、而我不妄用其權、

然則我之賞何歟、即我傳基督之福音、使人無所費而得、不妄用我在福音所有之權、

然則吾果無報酬乎？曰：正惟吾傳福音而不受酬、而不享受權利、酬在其中矣。

What then is my reward? Just this: that in preaching the gospel I may offer it free of charge, and so not make full use of my rights as a preacher of the gospel.

Then what reward do I get? Here is what it is. I am able to preach the good news free of charge. And I can do this without using all my rights as a person who preaches the good news.

What then is my reward? That in my preaching I may present the gospel free of charge, so as not to make full use of my right in the gospel.

What then is my pay? It is the opportunity to preach the Good News without charging anyone. That’s why I never demand my rights when I preach the Good News.

What then is my reward? To preach the gospel and offer it free of charge and not make full use of my rights in the gospel.

What, then, is my reward? That, when I preach the gospel, I may offer the gospel without charge, so as not to make full use of my right in the gospel.

What is my reward then? That when I preach the gospel, I may present the gospel of Christ without charge, that I may not abuse my authority in the gospel.

What then is my reward? That, when I preach the gospel, I may make the gospel without charge, so as not to use to the full my right in the gospel.

What then is my reward? To preach the gospel and offer it free of charge and not make full use of my authority in the gospel.

What is my reward then?[ Verily] that, when I preach the gospel, I may make the gospel of Christ without charge, that I abuse not my power in the gospel.

实际上，我们不是传扬自己，而是传扬主耶稣基督，并且为了耶稣的缘故，我们自己做了你们的奴仆；

难道只有我和巴拿巴没有不做工的权利吗？曾经有谁当兵自备粮饷呢？有谁栽种葡萄园不吃园中的果子呢？有谁牧养羊群不喝羊群的奶呢？

不过要当心，免得你们的这权利成了软弱之人的绊跌物。

也没有白吃过谁的饭。相反，我们辛苦劳碌、日夜做工，免得成为你们任何人的负担。这并不是因为我们没有这权利，而是要亲自给你们做榜样，好让你们效法我们。

要像我那样，也在一切事上使所有的人喜悦——不求自己的益处，而求多人的益处，好让他们都能得救。

利用世界的，要像没有充分利用世界的；因为这世界的形态正在消逝。

无论向你们或向其他人，我们也都没有寻求从人来的荣耀。

我降卑自己，好使你们被高举，因为我把神的福音无偿地传给你们，难道我这样就犯了罪吗？我“掠夺了”别的教会，拿了他们的工价来服事你们。我在你们那里有缺乏的时候，也没有成为任何人的负担，因为从马其顿省来的弟兄们补足了我的缺乏。在一切事上我都留意，不让自己成为你们的负担，将来也会留意。

除了我自己没有成为你们的负担以外，你们所受的对待，到底有什么不如其他教会呢？请你们饶恕我这点不公平吧！看哪，这是我第三次预备好到你们那里去，而且我不会成为你们的负担，因为我想要的不是你们的东西，而是你们自己。本来，不应该是儿女为父母积蓄财富，而是父母为儿女积蓄财富。所以为了你们的灵魂，我会极其乐意地付出，甚至完全付出。难道我爱你们越多，就越少得到你们的爱吗？不过就算如此，我也没有成为你们的负担——难道我是狡猾的人，用诡计牢笼了你们吗？难道我曾经藉着派到你们那里去的人，对不起你们吗？我鼓励提多去，又打发那位弟兄与他一起去。难道提多对不起你们吗？我们行事，难道不是同一个心灵吗？难道不是同一个步调吗？

如果因食物的缘故使你的弟兄忧伤，你就不再是凭着爱行事了。基督已经替他死了，不可因你的食物毁了他。
