他人且操此權、況我乎、然我不為也、寧凡事容忍、免阻基督福音、

他人且操此權、況我乎、然我不為之、寧忍諸難、恐阻基督福音、

他人尚操此權於爾中、況我儕乎、然我儕未用此權、寧忍一切、免阻基督之福音、

他人尚且對爾享此權利、況吾儕乎？然吾儕向未行使此權、而甘受困乏者、蓋不欲在基督福音道上、置任何之障礙也。

If others have this right of support from you, shouldn’t we have it all the more? But we did not use this right. On the contrary, we put up with anything rather than hinder the gospel of Christ.

Others have the right to receive help from you. Don’t we have even more right to do so? But we didn’t use that right. No, we have put up with everything. We didn’t want to keep the good news of Christ from spreading.

If others share this rightful claim on you, do not we even more? Nevertheless, we have not made use of this right, but we endure anything rather than put an obstacle in the way of the gospel of Christ.

If you support others who preach to you, shouldn’t we have an even greater right to be supported? But we have never used this right. We would rather put up with anything than be an obstacle to the Good News about Christ.

If others have this right to receive benefits from you, don’t we even more? Nevertheless, we have not made use of this right; instead, we endure everything so that we will not hinder the gospel of Christ.

If others share the right over you, do we not more? Nevertheless, we did not use this right, but we endure all things so that we will cause no hindrance to the gospel of Christ.

If others are partakers of this right over you, are we not even more? Nevertheless we have not used this right, but endure all things lest we hinder the gospel of Christ.

If others partake of this right over you, do not we yet more? Nevertheless we did not use this right; but we bear all things, that we may cause no hindrance to the gospel of Christ.

If others have this right to receive benefits from you, don’t we even more? However, we have not made use of this right; instead we endure everything so that we will not hinder the gospel of Christ.

If others be partakers of[ this] power over you,[ are] not we rather? Nevertheless we have not used this power; but suffer all things, lest we should hinder the gospel of Christ.

那麼，我的報償到底是什麼呢？就是：我傳福音的時候，能免費地提供福音，好使我不會充分利用在福音工作上屬自己的權利。

我現在所做的，將來還要做，為要斷絕那些人的機會——他們想找一個機會，好讓別人以為他們所誇耀的與我們一樣，

但是，這些權利我一個也沒有用過。我寫這些並不是要人這樣對待我，因為我寧願死，也不願意任何人使我所誇耀的落了空。

我降卑自己，好使你們被高舉，因為我把神的福音無償地傳給你們，難道我這樣就犯了罪嗎？我「掠奪了」別的教會，拿了他們的工價來服事你們。我在你們那裡有缺乏的時候，也沒有成為任何人的負擔，因為從馬其頓省來的弟兄們補足了我的缺乏。在一切事上我都留意，不讓自己成為你們的負擔，將來也會留意。我指著在我裡面基督的真理說，在亞該亞地區，誰也不能阻止我如此誇耀。

「你們這些律法師有禍了！因為你們拿去了知識的鑰匙，你們自己不進去，還阻止正要進去的人。」

所以，你們彼此告狀，對你們已經是一個全然的失敗。你們為什麼不情願受委屈呢？為什麼不情願受虧負呢？

直到現在這時刻，我們還是又飢又渴，衣不蔽體，被人毆打，居無定所，並且親手勞苦做工。被人辱罵，我們就祝福；被人逼迫，我們就容忍；

因為與他們同業，就住在他們那裡做工。原來他們是以製帳篷為業的。

我們不在任何事上給任何人跌倒的藉口，免得這服事的工作被人挑剔；

所以，我也多次受到攔阻，不能到你們那裡去。

但那僕人對他們說：「既然耶和華使我一路順利，請你們不要耽誤我，請打發我回我主人那裡去吧！」

即使我對別人不是使徒，但至少對你們還是使徒，因為你們是我在主裡做使徒的印證。

也沒有白吃過誰的飯。相反，我們辛苦勞碌、日夜做工，免得成為你們任何人的負擔。這並不是因為我們沒有這權利，而是要親自給你們做榜樣，好讓你們效法我們。

所以你們要警醒，記住這三年來，我日夜不住地流著淚水勸誡你們每一個人。「現在我把你們交託給神和他恩典的話語。這話語能造就你們，並且在所有被分別為聖的人中間賜給你們那繼業。我沒有渴望過任何人的金子、銀子或衣服。你們自己也知道，我這雙手供應了我和與我在一起之人的需要。

我寫這些，不是要你們感到羞愧，而是把你們當做我親愛的兒女來勸誡。其實就算你們在基督裡有上萬的導師，卻沒有很多的父親，因為是我在基督耶穌裡藉著福音生了你們。

無論向你們或向其他人，我們也都沒有尋求從人來的榮耀。我們身為基督的使徒，雖然可以加給你們重擔，但是我們在你們當中成了溫柔的，就像哺乳的母親顧惜自己的兒女那樣。我們這樣眷愛你們，不僅樂意把神的福音分享給你們，連自己的生命也樂意分享給你們，因為你們成了我們所愛的人。弟兄們，你們記得我們的辛苦和勞碌：我們把神的福音傳給你們的時候，我們日夜做工，免得成為你們任何人的負擔。

實際上，就算有人奴役你們，或侵吞你們，或榨取你們，或壓制你們，或打你們的臉，你們也能容忍。

除了我自己沒有成為你們的負擔以外，你們所受的對待，到底有什麼不如其他教會呢？請你們饒恕我這點不公平吧！看哪，這是我第三次預備好到你們那裡去，而且我不會成為你們的負擔，因為我想要的不是你們的東西，而是你們自己。本來，不應該是兒女為父母積蓄財富，而是父母為兒女積蓄財富。
