乃兄弟與兄弟相訟、且於不信者前歟、

而必欲對簿於外教人之前乎？

But instead, one brother takes another to court— and this in front of unbelievers!

Instead, one believer goes to court against another. And this happens in front of unbelievers!

but brother goes to law against brother, and that before unbelievers?

But instead, one believer sues another— right in front of unbelievers!

Instead, brother goes to court against brother, and that before unbelievers!

but brother goes to law with brother, and that before unbelievers?

But brother goes to law against brother, and that before unbelievers!

Instead, believer goes to court against believer, and that before unbelievers!

But brother goeth to law with brother, and that before the unbelievers.

Instead, does a Christian sue a Christian, and do this before unbelievers?

But brother goes to law with brother, and that before unbelievers!

And the day following he appeared unto them as they strove, and would have set them at one again, saying, Sirs, ye are brethren; why do ye wrong one to another?

Do all things without murmurings and questionings:that ye may become blameless and harmless, children of God without blemish in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation, among whom ye are seen as lights in the world,

Nay, already it is altogether a defect in you, that ye have lawsuits one with another. Why not rather take wrong? why not rather be defrauded?

So he sent his brethren away, and they departed: and he said unto them, See that ye fall not out by the way.

He that saith he is in the light and hateth his brother, is in the darkness even until now.He that loveth his brother abideth in the light, and there is no occasion of stumbling in him.But he that hateth his brother is in the darkness, and walketh in the darkness, and knoweth not whither he goeth, because the darkness hath blinded his eyes.

Be not unequally yoked with unbelievers: for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? or what communion hath light with darkness?

And there was a strife between the herdsmen of Abram’s cattle and the herdsmen of Lot’s cattle: and the Canaanite and the Perizzite dwelt then in the land.And Abram said unto Lot, Let there be no strife, I pray thee, between me and thee, and between my herdsmen and thy herdsmen; for we are brethren.Is not the whole land before thee? separate thyself, I pray thee, from me: if thou wilt take the left hand, then I will go to the right; or if thou take the right hand, then I will go to the left.

For this is the message which ye heard from the beginning, that we should love one another:not as Cain was of the evil one, and slew his brother. And wherefore slew he him? Because his works were evil, and his brother’s righteous.Marvel not, brethren, if the world hateth you.We know that we have passed out of death into life, because we love the brethren. He that loveth not abideth in death.Whosoever hateth his brother is a murderer: and ye know that no murderer hath eternal life abiding in him.

And I said unto them, We after our ability have redeemed our brethren the Jews, that were sold unto the nations; and would ye even sell your brethren, and should they be sold unto us? Then held they their peace, and found never a word.Also I said, The thing that ye do is not good: ought ye not to walk in the fear of our God, because of the reproach of the nations our enemies?

Dare any of you, having a matter against his neighbor, go to law before the unrighteous, and not before the saints?

Behold, how good and how pleasant it is For brethren to dwell together in unity!It is like the precious oil upon the head, That ran down upon the beard, Even Aaron’s beard; That came down upon the skirt of his garments;Like the dew of Hermon, That cometh down upon the mountains of Zion: For there Jehovah commanded the blessing, Even life for evermore.
