It is reported commonly[ that there is] fornication among you, and such fornication as is not so much as named among the Gentiles, that one should have his father’s wife.

It is actually reported that there is sexual immorality among you, and of a kind that even pagans do not tolerate: A man is sleeping with his father’s wife.

And David came to his house at Jerusalem; and the king took the ten women[ his] concubines, whom he had left to keep the house, and put them in ward, and fed them, but went not in unto them. So they were shut up unto the day of their death, living in widowhood.

And the man that lieth with his father’s wife hath uncovered his father’s nakedness: both of them shall surely be put to death; their blood[ shall be] upon them.
