When I come, I will write letters of recommendation for the messengers you choose to deliver your gift to Jerusalem.

予一抵爾處、即擬備函派人、將爾之嘉惠送至耶路撒冷。至於人選、請爾定之；

Then, when I arrive, I will give letters of introduction to the men you approve and send them with your gift to Jerusalem.

When I arrive, I will send some people with your gift to Jerusalem. They will be people you consider to be good. And I will give them letters that explain who they are.

And when I arrive, I will send those whom you accredit by letter to carry your gift to Jerusalem.

When I arrive, I will send with letters those you recommend to carry your gift to Jerusalem.

When I arrive, whomever you approve, I will send them with letters to take your gift to Jerusalem;

And when I come, whomever you approve by your letters I will send to bear your gift to Jerusalem.

And when I arrive, whomsoever ye shall approve, them will I send with letters to carry your bounty unto Jerusalem:

When I arrive, I will send with letters those you recommend to carry your gracious gift to Jerusalem.

And when I come, whomsoever ye shall approve by[ your] letters, them will I send to bring your liberality unto Jerusalem.

Then, when I arrive, I will send those whom you approve with letters of explanation to carry your gift to Jerusalem.

When I arrive, I will send whoever you approve with letters to carry your gracious gift to Jerusalem.

We are also sending another brother with Titus. All the churches praise him as a preacher of the Good News.He was appointed by the churches to accompany us as we take the offering to Jerusalem— a service that glorifies the Lord and shows our eagerness to help.We are traveling together to guard against any criticism for the way we are handling this generous gift.We are careful to be honorable before the Lord, but we also want everyone else to see that we are honorable.We are also sending with them another of our brothers who has proven himself many times and has shown on many occasions how eager he is. He is now even more enthusiastic because of his great confidence in you.If anyone asks about Titus, say that he is my partner who works with me to help you. And the brothers with him have been sent by the churches, and they bring honor to Christ.So show them your love, and prove to all the churches that our boasting about you is justified.

They begged us again and again for the privilege of sharing in the gift for the believers in Jerusalem.

But I will come— and soon— if the Lord lets me, and then I’ll find out whether these arrogant people just give pretentious speeches or whether they really have God’s power.For the Kingdom of God is not just a lot of talk; it is living by God’s power.Which do you choose? Should I come with a rod to punish you, or should I come with love and a gentle spirit?

So we have urged Titus, who encouraged your giving in the first place, to return to you and encourage you to finish this ministry of giving.

If you are really hungry, eat at home so you won’t bring judgment upon yourselves when you meet together. I’ll give you instructions about the other matters after I arrive.

But as the believers rapidly multiplied, there were rumblings of discontent. The Greek speaking believers complained about the Hebrew speaking believers, saying that their widows were being discriminated against in the daily distribution of food.So the Twelve called a meeting of all the believers. They said,“ We apostles should spend our time teaching the word of God, not running a food program.And so, brothers, select seven men who are well respected and are full of the Spirit and wisdom. We will give them this responsibility.Then we apostles can spend our time in prayer and teaching the word.”Everyone liked this idea, and they chose the following: Stephen( a man full of faith and the Holy Spirit), Philip, Procorus, Nicanor, Timon, Parmenas, and Nicolas of Antioch( an earlier convert to the Jewish faith).These seven were presented to the apostles, who prayed for them as they laid their hands on them.
