兄弟乎、爾知司提反家乃亞該亞初實之果、且專事聖徒者、

爾知士提反家、在亞該亞、首宗主、專事聖徒、

兄弟乎、爾知司提反家、乃在亞該亞首先信主者、且專心事聖徒、

斯德法一家、乃亞該亞之首先奉教者、專心為聖教服務、此兄弟之所知也。

You know that the household of Stephanas were the first converts in Achaia, and they have devoted themselves to the service of the Lord’s people. I urge you, brothers and sisters,

You know that the first believers in Achaia were from the family of Stephanas. They have spent all their time serving the Lord’s people. Brothers and sisters, I am asking you

Now I urge you, brothers— you know that the household of Stephanas were the first converts in Achaia, and that they have devoted themselves to the service of the saints—

You know that Stephanas and his household were the first of the harvest of believers in Greece, and they are spending their lives in service to God’s people. I urge you, dear brothers and sisters,

我虽然也给司提法纳的一家人施过洗，此外我却不记得是否给其他人施过洗。

每个人要照着自己所领受的恩赐来彼此服事，做神各种恩典的好管家。

要分担圣徒的缺乏；尽力款待客旅。

但如今，我要到耶路撒冷去服事圣徒，

用许多乞求的话，恳请我们在对圣徒的服事上给与他们恩准和分享的机会；

关于服事圣徒的事，其实我不必给你们写什么，

请你们在主里以圣徒配得的方式来欢迎她。无论她在什么事上需要你们，都请你们帮助她，因为她实在帮助了许多人，也帮助了我。

在约帕有一个女门徒，名叫塔比莎——“塔比莎”翻译出来意思是“羚羊”。她尽做美善工作，常行施舍。就在那些日子里，她患病死了。人们清洗了遗体，就放在楼上的房间。利达离约帕不远，门徒们听说彼得在利达，就派了两个人到他那里，恳求他说：“请你来到我们这里，不要耽延！”彼得就起身陪他们一起去。到了以后，他们把他领到楼上的房间。所有的寡妇都站在彼得旁边哭，把多卡丝与她们在一起的时候所缝制的衣服和袍子拿给他看。彼得叫大家都出去，然后跪下祷告，接着转过身对着遗体，说：“塔比莎，你起来！”那妇人就睁开眼睛，看见彼得，而且坐了起来。彼得伸手扶她站起来，又叫圣徒们和寡妇们进来，把活过来的多卡丝交给他们。

这些人没有与女人在一起而玷污自己，实际上他们是童身；无论羔羊到哪里去，他们都跟随他；这些人是从人间被赎回来，做为初熟的果子归给神和羔羊的；

因为这服事的工作，不仅补足了圣徒们的缺乏，并且能藉着对神的许多感谢而充实满溢。他们藉着这次服事的凭证，因你们顺服了那为基督福音所做的告白，也因你们给他们和众人的慷慨分享，他们就会荣耀神；并且他们因着神赐给你们这无限的恩典，就切切地想念你们，为你们祈祷。感谢神，因他有无法描述的恩赐！

伽利奥任亚该亚省长的时候，犹太人一致起来攻击保罗，把他带到审判台前，

并且必须有美好行为的名声，就如养育孩子、接待客旅、洗圣徒的脚、帮助受患难的人、追随一切美善的工作。

因为神不是不公正的，以致忘记你们的工作和你们为他的名所显出的爱，就是你们先前和如今服事圣徒时所显出的爱。

我为司提法纳、福特纳托和阿卡伊库的到来感到欢喜，因为他们弥补了你们的空缺；

愿神救我脱离犹太地区不肯信从的人，也使我为耶路撒冷的这服事可以蒙圣徒们的悦纳，

实际上，我由于你的爱得了极大的喜乐和鼓励，因为弟兄啊，圣徒们的情感藉着你得了安宁。
