兄弟乎、是當若何、爾既集、或歌詩、或施教、或述啟示、或言方言、或譯方言、皆宜為建德而行、

兄弟乎、事當若何、爾既集、各人或頌詩、或教訓、或言諸國方言、或默示、或譯諸國方言、皆宜行之以輔德、

兄弟乎、事當若何、爾曹既集、各人或歌頌、或教訓、

然則兄弟究應如何？爾等聚會時、各有貢獻、或以聖詠、或以教理、或以啟示、或以方言、或以繙譯；總之、亦在己立立人、己達達人而已矣。

What then shall we say, brothers and sisters? When you come together, each of you has a hymn, or a word of instruction, a revelation, a tongue or an interpretation. Everything must be done so that the church may be built up.

Brothers and sisters, what should we say then? When you come together, each of you brings something. You bring a hymn or a teaching or a message from God. You bring a message in another language or explain what was said in that language. Everything must be done to build up the church.

What then, brothers? When you come together, each one has a hymn, a lesson, a revelation, a tongue, or an interpretation. Let all things be done for building up.

Well, my brothers and sisters, let’s summarize. When you meet together, one will sing, another will teach, another will tell some special revelation God has given, one will speak in tongues, and another will interpret what is said. But everything that is done must strengthen all of you.

speaking to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody with your hearts to the Lord;

So then we pursue the things which make for peace and the building up of one another.

But to each one is given the manifestation of the Spirit for the common good.For to one is given the word of wisdom through the Spirit, and to another the word of knowledge according to the same Spirit;to another faith by the same Spirit, and to another gifts of healing by the one Spirit,and to another the effecting of miracles, and to another prophecy, and to another the distinguishing of spirits, to another various kinds of tongues, and to another the interpretation of tongues.

Therefore, encourage one another and build one another up, just as you also are doing.

from whom the whole body, being fitted and held together by what every joint supplies, according to the proper working of each individual part, causes the growth of the body for the building up of itself in love.

For this reason I am writing these things while absent, so that when present I need not use severity, in accordance with the authority which the Lord gave me for building up and not for tearing down.

All this time you have been thinking that we are defending ourselves to you. Actually, it is in the sight of God that we have been speaking in Christ; and all for building you up, beloved.

So you too, since you are eager to possess spiritual gifts, strive to excel for the edification of the church.Therefore, one who speaks in a tongue is to pray that he may interpret.

But all things must be done properly and in an orderly way.

Let no unwholesome word come out of your mouth, but if there is any good word for edification according to the need of the moment, say that, so that it will give grace to those who hear.

If anyone speaks in a tongue, it must be by two or at the most three, and each one in turn, and one is to interpret;

for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the building up of the body of Christ;

The one who speaks in a tongue edifies himself; but the one who prophesies edifies the church.Now I wish that you all spoke in tongues, but rather that you would prophesy; and greater is the one who prophesies than the one who speaks in tongues, unless he interprets, so that the church may receive edification.But now, brothers and sisters, if I come to you speaking in tongues, how will I benefit you unless I speak to you either by way of revelation, or of knowledge, or of prophecy, or of teaching?
