愛、永不廢墮；神言傳講的才能呢、必廢掉；捲舌頭說話呢、必止息；知識呢、必廢掉。

說一個新的，就已使先前的成為舊的了；並且那漸漸故舊而衰老的、就將近於滅沒了。

如今長存着信、望、愛、這三樣：其中最大的就是愛。

假使我用人之捲舌頭說話、甚至於用天使的語言來說話，卻沒有愛，我就成了鳴的鑼響的鈸一般。假使我有神言傳講的才能，又明白一切奧祕、一切知識；假使我有全備的信、能夠移山，卻沒有愛，我就算不了甚麼。

因為在基督耶穌裏、受割禮沒有效力，不受割禮也沒有效力，惟獨以愛力行的信才有效力。

於是眾人都充滿了聖靈、說起話來，照聖靈給他們去發表的。

那完全的一來到，這一點一點的就廢掉了。

另有人稟受異能的效力；另有人稟受神言傳講的才能；另有人稟受辨別諸靈的能力；另有別人稟受種種的捲舌頭話；又另有人對捲舌頭話稟受解明的才能：

論以東。萬軍之永恆主這麼說：『提幔中再沒有才智麼？謀略都從明達人中間滅沒了麼？他們都讓才智溜走了麼？

但是我為你祈求了，叫你的信心不消失；你回轉過來以後，要使你弟兄堅固。』

上帝在教會裏所配置的，第一是使徒，第二是神言傳講師，第三是教師，其次是異能，再次是行醫的恩賜，是能扶助人，能治理人，能說捲舌頭話種種。難道都是使徒麼？都是神言傳講師麼？都是教師麼？都能行異能麼？都有行醫的恩賜麼？都能捲舌頭說話麼？對捲舌頭話都能解釋麼？

所以弟兄們，你們要切慕傳講神言，也別禁止捲舌頭說話了。
