雖有先知之明、能探諸奧妙、得諸知識、信德俱備、能以移山、若無愛、則無益、

使我無愛德、而具先知之靈賦、心通一切玄妙、一切知識、甚至有移山之信、則亦浮華無實耳。

If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing.

Suppose I have the gift of prophecy. Suppose I can understand all the secret things of God and know everything about him. And suppose I have enough faith to move mountains. If I don’t have love, I am nothing at all.

And if I have prophetic powers, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have all faith, so as to remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing.

If I had the gift of prophecy, and if I understood all of God’s secret plans and possessed all knowledge, and if I had such faith that I could move mountains, but didn’t love others, I would be nothing.

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, (niv)

If anyone does not love the Lord, let that person be cursed! Come, Lord! (niv)

In reading this, then, you will be able to understand my insight into the mystery of Christ, (niv)

Pray also for me, that whenever I speak, words may be given me so that I will fearlessly make known the mystery of the gospel, (niv)

To one there is given through the Spirit a message of wisdom, to another a message of knowledge by means of the same Spirit,to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healing by that one Spirit,to another miraculous powers, to another prophecy, to another distinguishing between spirits, to another speaking in different kinds of tongues, and to still another the interpretation of tongues. Seeing a fig tree by the road, he went up to it but found nothing on it except leaves. Then he said to it,“ May you never bear fruit again!” Immediately the tree withered. (niv)

Follow the way of love and eagerly desire gifts of the Spirit, especially prophecy.For anyone who speaks in a tongue does not speak to people but to God. Indeed, no one understands them; they utter mysteries by the Spirit. (niv)

Circumcision is nothing and uncircumcision is nothing. Keeping God’s commands is what counts. (niv)

The apostles said to the Lord,“ Increase our faith!”He replied,“ If you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mulberry tree,‘ Be uprooted and planted in the sea,’ and it will obey you. (niv)

Now, brothers and sisters, if I come to you and speak in tongues, what good will I be to you, unless I bring you some revelation or knowledge or prophecy or word of instruction?Even in the case of lifeless things that make sounds, such as the pipe or harp, how will anyone know what tune is being played unless there is a distinction in the notes?Again, if the trumpet does not sound a clear call, who will get ready for battle?So it is with you. Unless you speak intelligible words with your tongue, how will anyone know what you are saying? You will just be speaking into the air. (niv)

“ Have faith in God,” Jesus answered.“ Truly I tell you, if anyone says to this mountain,‘ Go, throw yourself into the sea,’ and does not doubt in their heart but believes that what they say will happen, it will be done for them. (niv)

So then, about eating food sacrificed to idols: We know that“ An idol is nothing at all in the world” and that“ There is no God but one.” (niv)

Many will say to me on that day,‘ Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name and in your name drive out demons and in your name perform many miracles?’Then I will tell them plainly,‘ I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!’ (niv)

Then he spoke his message:“ The prophecy of Balaam son of Beor, the prophecy of one whose eye sees clearly,the prophecy of one who hears the words of God, who has knowledge from the Most High, who sees a vision from the Almighty, who falls prostrate, and whose eyes are opened:“ I see him, but not now; I behold him, but not near. He will crush the foreheads of Moab, the skulls of all the people of Sheth.Edom will be conquered; Seir, his enemy, will be conquered, but Israel will grow strong.A ruler will come out of Jacob and destroy the survivors of the city.”Then Balaam saw Amalek and spoke his message:“ Amalek was first among the nations, but their end will be utter destruction.”Then he saw the Kenites and spoke his message:“ Your dwelling place is secure, your nest is set in a rock;yet you Kenites will be destroyed when Ashur takes you captive.”Then he spoke his message:“ Alas! Who can live when God does this?Ships will come from the shores of Cyprus; they will subdue Ashur and Eber, but they too will come to ruin.” (niv)

This, then, is how you ought to regard us: as servants of Christ and as those entrusted with the mysteries God has revealed. (niv)

Therefore, my brothers and sisters, be eager to prophesy, and do not forbid speaking in tongues. (niv)

I have made a fool of myself, but you drove me to it. I ought to have been commended by you, for I am not in the least inferior to the“ super-apostles,” even though I am nothing. (niv)
