有人得行異能、有人得言未來之事、有人得辨神之真偽、有人得言方言、方言或作神言除十四章十節方言之外下同有人得解方言、

或行靈蹟、或作預言、或識別神之真偽、或操方言、或譯方言；

to another miraculous powers, to another prophecy, to another distinguishing between spirits, to another speaking in different kinds of tongues, and to still another the interpretation of tongues.

To others he gives the power to do miracles. To others he gives the ability to prophesy. To others he gives the ability to tell the spirits apart. To others he gives the ability to speak in different kinds of languages they had not known before. And to still others he gives the ability to explain what was said in those languages.

He gives one person the power to perform miracles, and another the ability to prophesy. He gives someone else the ability to discern whether a message is from the Spirit of God or from another spirit. Still another person is given the ability to speak in unknown languages, while another is given the ability to interpret what is being said.

And these signs will accompany those who believe: in my name they will cast out demons; they will speak in new tongues;

So, my brothers, earnestly desire to prophesy, and do not forbid speaking in tongues.

Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, for many false prophets have gone out into the world.

Does he who supplies the Spirit to you and works miracles among you do so by works of the law, or by hearing with faith—

And God has appointed in the church first apostles, second prophets, third teachers, then miracles, then gifts of healing, helping, administrating, and various kinds of tongues.Are all apostles? Are all prophets? Are all teachers? Do all work miracles?Do all possess gifts of healing? Do all speak with tongues? Do all interpret?

What then, brothers? When you come together, each one has a hymn, a lesson, a revelation, a tongue, or an interpretation. Let all things be done for building up.If any speak in a tongue, let there be only two or at most three, and each in turn, and let someone interpret.But if there is no one to interpret, let each of them keep silent in church and speak to himself and to God.Let two or three prophets speak, and let the others weigh what is said.

And behold, I am sending the promise of my Father upon you. But stay in the city until you are clothed with power from on high.”

Pursue love, and earnestly desire the spiritual gifts, especially that you may prophesy.For one who speaks in a tongue speaks not to men but to God; for no one understands him, but he utters mysteries in the Spirit.On the other hand, the one who prophesies speaks to people for their upbuilding and encouragement and consolation.The one who speaks in a tongue builds up himself, but the one who prophesies builds up the church.Now I want you all to speak in tongues, but even more to prophesy. The one who prophesies is greater than the one who speaks in tongues, unless someone interprets, so that the church may be built up.

“ And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my Spirit on all flesh; your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, and your young men shall see visions.

If, therefore, the whole church comes together and all speak in tongues, and outsiders or unbelievers enter, will they not say that you are out of your minds?But if all prophesy, and an unbeliever or outsider enters, he is convicted by all, he is called to account by all,

For you can all prophesy one by one, so that all may learn and all be encouraged,and the spirits of prophets are subject to prophets.

If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I am a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal.And if I have prophetic powers, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have all faith, so as to remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing.

And they went out and preached everywhere, while the Lord worked with them and confirmed the message by accompanying signs.

Now these are the last words of David: The oracle of David, the son of Jesse, the oracle of the man who was raised on high, the anointed of the God of Jacob, the sweet psalmist of Israel:“ The Spirit of the Lord speaks by me; his word is on my tongue.

“‘ And in the last days it shall be, God declares, that I will pour out my Spirit on all flesh, and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams;even on my male servants and female servants in those days I will pour out my Spirit, and they shall prophesy.

knowing this first of all, that no prophecy of Scripture comes from someone’s own interpretation.For no prophecy was ever produced by the will of man, but men spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit.

When the Spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into all the truth, for he will not speak on his own authority, but whatever he hears he will speak, and he will declare to you the things that are to come.

Do not despise prophecies,

while God also bore witness by signs and wonders and various miracles and by gifts of the Holy Spirit distributed according to his will.

“‘ I know your works, your toil and your patient endurance, and how you cannot bear with those who are evil, but have tested those who call themselves apostles and are not, and found them to be false.

For they were hearing them speaking in tongues and extolling God. Then Peter declared,“ Can anyone withhold water for baptizing these people, who have received the Holy Spirit just as we have?”

And when Paul had laid his hands on them, the Holy Spirit came on them, and they began speaking in tongues and prophesying.

He had four unmarried daughters, who prophesied.While we were staying for many days, a prophet named Agabus came down from Judea.

When they came to Gibeah, behold, a group of prophets met him, and the Spirit of God rushed upon him, and he prophesied among them.And when all who knew him previously saw how he prophesied with the prophets, the people said to one another,“ What has come over the son of Kish? Having gifts that differ according to the grace given to us, let us use them: if prophecy, in proportion to our faith;

Love never ends. As for prophecies, they will pass away; as for tongues, they will cease; as for knowledge, it will pass away.

Then the Lord came down in the cloud and spoke to him, and took some of the Spirit that was on him and put it on the seventy elders. And as soon as the Spirit rested on them, they prophesied. Then Saul sent messengers to take David, and when they saw the company of the prophets prophesying, and Samuel standing as head over them, the Spirit of God came upon the messengers of Saul, and they also prophesied.When it was told Saul, he sent other messengers, and they also prophesied. And Saul sent messengers again the third time, and they also prophesied.Then he himself went to Ramah and came to the great well that is in Secu. And he asked,“ Where are Samuel and David?” And one said,“ Behold, they are at Naioth in Ramah.”And he went there to Naioth in Ramah. And the Spirit of God came upon him also, and as he went he prophesied until he came to Naioth in Ramah.And he too stripped off his clothes, and he too prophesied before Samuel and lay naked all that day and all that night. Thus it is said,“ Is Saul also among the prophets?”

And one of them named Agabus stood up and foretold by the Spirit that there would be a great famine over all the world( this took place in the days of Claudius).

But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”

And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit gave them utterance.Now there were dwelling in Jerusalem Jews, devout men from every nation under heaven.And at this sound the multitude came together, and they were bewildered, because each one was hearing them speak in his own language.And they were amazed and astonished, saying,“ Are not all these who are speaking Galileans?And how is it that we hear, each of us in his own native language?Parthians and Medes and Elamites and residents of Mesopotamia, Judea and Cappadocia, Pontus and Asia,Phrygia and Pamphylia, Egypt and the parts of Libya belonging to Cyrene, and visitors from Rome,both Jews and proselytes, Cretans and Arabians— we hear them telling in our own tongues the mighty works of God.”And all were amazed and perplexed, saying to one another,“ What does this mean?”
