现在我吩咐以下的事，并不是在称赞你们，因为你们聚集所导致的不是更好，而是更糟。

或是他所委派来惩恶赏善的那些官员；

难道你们没有家，可以在那里吃喝吗？还是你们轻视神的教会，羞辱那些没有什么的人呢？我要对你们怎么说呢？要称赞你们吗？在这事上，我不称赞你们。

所以，如果全教会聚集在一起，大家都说殊言，有不明白殊言的，或不信的人进来，他们难道不会说你们都疯了吗？

你们不要放弃自己的聚会，像某些人所习惯的那样，而要彼此鼓励；你们既然看见那日子临近，就更应该这样。

“你要放开喉咙，不要止住，扬起声音，如同号角！你要向我的子民宣告他们的过犯，向雅各家宣告他们的罪恶。他们天天寻求我，喜爱认识我的道路，好像行公义的国民，不离弃自己神的法规；他们向我求问公义的判断，喜爱在神的近旁；于是他们问：‘我们禁食，你为什么不看；我们刻苦己心，你为什么不理会呢？’看哪！在禁食的日子里，你们实际上寻求自己所喜悦的，压迫一切为你们做工的人；看哪！你们一边禁食，一边争竞、纷争、用邪恶的拳头打人。你们为要自己的声音在高处蒙垂听，就不要像今天这样禁食！

如果有人饿了，就应当在家里吃，免得你们聚集，反导致惩罚。至于其他的事，当我来的时候才吩咐。

弟兄们，那么该怎么办呢？你们聚集的时候，各人或有诗歌，或有教导，或有启示，或有殊言，或有翻译出来的话语——一切都要为了造就人。

我称赞你们，因为你们在一切事上都记念我，并且照着我所传给你们的来持守传统。

当面的责备，好过隐藏的爱。

这样说来，你们聚集在一起，所吃的并不是主的晚餐，

不要再带无用的供物了！献祭的香，是我所憎恶的；新月节、安息日、宣召的聚会——邪恶的严肃会，是我不能容忍的。你们的新月节和所定的节期，是我心里所恨恶的；它们成了我的重负，我已厌倦不堪。

事实上，对良善的行为，掌权者并不是可怕的；而对邪恶的行为，他才是可怕的。那么，你想要不惧怕掌权的，就应当做良善的事。这样，你就会得到他的称赞。
