無論是誰，不要為自己謀利，要為別人謀利。

我雖然是自由之身，不受任何人支配，但我甘願成為眾人的奴僕，為了要得到更多的人。面對猶太人我就做猶太人，為了要贏得猶太人。面對守律法的人，我這不受律法束縛的人就守律法，為了要贏得守律法的人。面對沒有律法的人，我就像個沒有律法的人，為了要贏得沒有律法的人。其實我並非在上帝的律法之外，我是在基督的律法之下。面對軟弱的人我就做軟弱的人，為了要得軟弱的人。面對什麼人，我就做什麼人，為了要盡可能地救一些人。我做的一切都是為了福音的緣故，為了要與人分享福音的祝福。

我現在是要贏得人的贊同嗎？還是要贏得上帝的贊同？難道我是要討好人嗎？如果我仍舊要討好人，我就不是基督的奴僕了。

我們每個人都應該為他人著想，建造他人的生命。因為基督並沒有專顧自己，正如聖經上說：「辱駡你之人的辱駡都落在我身上。」

你們一直以為我們是替自己辯白，其實我們這番話是在基督裡、在上帝面前說的。親愛的弟兄姊妹，這一切都是為了造就你們。

希望使我的骨肉同胞心生嫉妒，好使他們當中的一些人得救。

此外，我還掛慮眾教會的事，天天承受著壓力。有誰軟弱，我不感同身受呢？有誰失足犯罪，我不心急如焚呢？
