But if anyone says to you,“ This was offered to idols,” don’t eat it for the sake of the one who told you, and for the sake of conscience. For“ the earth is the Lord’s, with all its fullness.”

若有人对你们说：“这是献过祭的物”，就要为那告诉你们的人，并为良心的缘故不吃。

若有人对你们说：“这是献过祭的物”，那么为了那告诉你们的人，并为了良心的缘故就不吃。

設有語爾者曰、此乃祭物、則勿食之、為語爾者、且為良心也、

設有告爾者曰、此祭偶像之物、則勿食、以告爾者、亦心疑故也、蓋天下萬物、無不屬主、

如有人告爾曰、此乃祭偶像之物、則勿食之、因告爾之故、亦因心疑之故、蓋地與地所載之物皆屬主、蓋地與地所載之物皆屬主有原文抄本無此句

But if someone says to you,“ This has been offered in sacrifice,” then do not eat it, both for the sake of the one who told you and for the sake of conscience.

But suppose someone says to you,“ This food has been sacrificed to a statue of a god.” Then don’t eat it. Keep in mind the good of the person who told you. And don’t eat because of a sense of what is right and wrong.

But if someone says to you,“ This has been offered in sacrifice,” then do not eat it, for the sake of the one who informed you, and for the sake of conscience—

( But suppose someone tells you,“ This meat was offered to an idol.” Don’t eat it, out of consideration for the conscience of the one who told you.

But if someone says to you,“ This is food from a sacrifice,” do not eat it, out of consideration for the one who told you, and for the sake of conscience.

But if anyone says to you,“ This is meat sacrificed to idols,” do not eat it, for the sake of that one who informed you and for the sake of conscience;

But if anyone says to you,“ This was offered to idols,” do not eat it for the sake of the one who told you, and for conscience’ sake; for“ the earth is the Lord’s, and all its fullness.”

But if any man say unto you, This hath been offered in sacrifice, eat not, for his sake that showed it, and for conscience’ sake:

But if someone says to you,“ This is food offered to an idol,” do not eat it, out of consideration for the one who told you, and for conscience’ sake.

But if any man say unto you, This is offered in sacrifice unto idols, eat not for his sake that shewed it, and for conscience sake: for the earth[ is] the Lord’s, and the fulness thereof:

But if someone says to you,“ This is from a sacrifice,” do not eat, because of the one who told you and because of conscience–

For if a man sees you who have knowledge sitting in an idol’s temple, won’t his conscience, if he is weak, be emboldened to eat things sacrificed to idols?And through your knowledge, he who is weak perishes, the brother for whose sake Christ died.Thus, sinning against the brothers, and wounding their conscience when it is weak, you sin against Christ.Therefore if food causes my brother to stumble, I will eat no meat forever more, that I don’t cause my brother to stumble.

However, that knowledge isn’t in all men. But some, with consciousness of the idol until now, eat as of a thing sacrificed to an idol, and their conscience, being weak, is defiled.

Yet if because of food your brother is grieved, you walk no longer in love. Don’t destroy with your food him for whom Christ died.

Behold, to Yahweh your God belongs heaven, the heaven of heavens, and the earth, with all that is therein.

Moses said to him,“ As soon as I have gone out of the city, I will spread out my hands to Yahweh. The thunders shall cease, and there will not be any more hail; that you may know that the earth is Yahweh’s.

“ Therefore don’t be anxious, saying,‘ What will we eat?’,‘ What will we drink?’ or,‘ With what will we be clothed?’For the Gentiles seek after all these things; for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things.

The heavens are Yahweh’s heavens, but he has given the earth to the children of men.

for“ the earth is the Lord’s, and its fullness.”

The earth is Yahweh’s, with its fullness; the world, and those who dwell in it.

‘ I have made the earth, the men, and the animals that are on the surface of the earth by my great power and by my outstretched arm. I give it to whom it seems right to me.Now I have given all these lands into the hand of Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon, my servant. I have also given the animals of the field to him to serve him.
