Don’t grumble, as some of them also grumbled, and perished by the destroyer.

亦勿怨讟、如彼中有人怨讟、而滅於滅命者、

亦毋心怨口讟、如若輩中所為者、而被殲於剿討者之手也。

And do not grumble, as some of them did— and were killed by the destroying angel.

Don’t speak against God. That’s what some of the people of Israel did. And they were killed by the destroying angel.

When the angel stretched out his hand toward Jerusalem to destroy it, Yahweh relented of the disaster, and said to the angel who destroyed the people,“ It is enough. Now withdraw your hand.” Yahweh’s angel was by the threshing floor of Araunah the Jebusite.

But on the next day all the congregation of the children of Israel complained against Moses and against Aaron, saying,“ You have killed Yahweh’s people!”

God sent an angel to Jerusalem to destroy it. As he was about to destroy, Yahweh saw, and he relented of the disaster, and said to the destroying angel,“ It is enough. Now withdraw your hand.” Yahweh’s angel was standing by the threshing floor of Ornan the Jebusite.

Do all things without complaining and arguing,

For Yahweh will pass through to strike the Egyptians; and when he sees the blood on the lintel, and on the two door posts, Yahweh will pass over the door, and will not allow the destroyer to come in to your houses to strike you.

but murmured in their tents, and didn’t listen to Yahweh’s voice.

All the children of Israel murmured against Moses and against Aaron. The whole congregation said to them,“ We wish that we had died in the land of Egypt, or that we had died in this wilderness!

even those men who brought up an evil report of the land, died by the plague before Yahweh.

By faith, he kept the Passover, and the sprinkling of the blood, that the destroyer of the firstborn should not touch them.

The people murmured against Moses, saying,“ What shall we drink?”

Therefore the people quarreled with Moses, and said,“ Give us water to drink.” Moses said to them,“ Why do you quarrel with me? Why do you test Yahweh?”The people were thirsty for water there; so the people murmured against Moses, and said,“ Why have you brought us up out of Egypt, to kill us, our children, and our livestock with thirst?”

“ How long shall I bear with this evil congregation that complain against me? I have heard the complaints of the children of Israel, which they complain against me.Tell them,‘ As I live, says Yahweh, surely as you have spoken in my ears, so I will do to you.Your dead bodies shall fall in this wilderness; and all who were counted of you, according to your whole number, from twenty years old and upward, who have complained against me,surely you shall not come into the land concerning which I swore that I would make you dwell therein, except Caleb the son of Jephunneh, and Joshua the son of Nun.

Moses said to Aaron,“ Take your censer, put fire from the altar in it, lay incense on it, carry it quickly to the congregation, and make atonement for them; for wrath has gone out from Yahweh! The plague has begun.”Aaron did as Moses said, and ran into the middle of the assembly. The plague had already begun among the people. He put on the incense, and made atonement for the people.He stood between the dead and the living; and the plague was stayed.Now those who died by the plague were fourteen thousand and seven hundred, in addition to those who died about the matter of Korah.

These are murmurers and complainers, walking after their lusts— and their mouth speaks proud things— showing respect of persons to gain advantage.

The whole congregation of the children of Israel murmured against Moses and against Aaron in the wilderness;and the children of Israel said to them,“ We wish that we had died by Yahweh’s hand in the land of Egypt, when we sat by the meat pots, when we ate our fill of bread, for you have brought us out into this wilderness to kill this whole assembly with hunger.”Then Yahweh said to Moses,“ Behold, I will rain bread from the sky for you, and the people shall go out and gather a day’s portion every day, that I may test them, whether they will walk in my law or not.It shall come to pass on the sixth day, that they shall prepare that which they bring in, and it shall be twice as much as they gather daily.”Moses and Aaron said to all the children of Israel,“ At evening, you shall know that Yahweh has brought you out from the land of Egypt.In the morning, you shall see Yahweh’s glory; because he hears your murmurings against Yahweh. Who are we, that you murmur against us?”Moses said,“ Now Yahweh will give you meat to eat in the evening, and in the morning bread to satisfy you, because Yahweh hears your murmurings which you murmur against him. And who are we? Your murmurings are not against us, but against Yahweh.”Moses said to Aaron,“ Tell all the congregation of the children of Israel,‘ Come close to Yahweh, for he has heard your murmurings.’”

and to give relief to you who are afflicted with us, when the Lord Jesus is revealed from heaven with his mighty angels in flaming fire,punishing those who don’t know God, and to those who don’t obey the Good News of our Lord Jesus,

Immediately an angel of the Lord struck him, because he didn’t give God the glory. Then he was eaten by worms and died.

The enemy who sowed them is the devil. The harvest is the end of the age, and the reapers are angels.As therefore the darnel weeds are gathered up and burned with fire; so will it be at the end of this age.The Son of Man will send out his angels, and they will gather out of his Kingdom all things that cause stumbling, and those who do iniquity,and will cast them into the furnace of fire. There will be the weeping and the gnashing of teeth.

Yahweh sent an angel, who cut off all the mighty men of valor, and the leaders and captains, in the camp of the king of Assyria. So he returned with shame of face to his own land. When he had come into the house of his god, those who came out of his own body killed him there with the sword.

I heard a loud voice out of the temple, saying to the seven angels,“ Go and pour out the seven bowls of the wrath of God on the earth!”
