All this continued until the burnt offering was finished.When they had finished offering, the king and all who were present with him bowed themselves and worshiped.Moreover Hezekiah the king and the princes commanded the Levites to sing praises to Yahweh with the words of David, and of Asaph the seer. They sang praises with gladness, and they bowed their heads and worshiped.

Ezra 3:10-11
When the builders laid the foundation of Yahweh’s temple, they set the priests in their clothing with trumpets, with the Levites the sons of Asaph with cymbals, to praise Yahweh, according to the directions of David king of Israel.They sang to one another in praising and giving thanks to Yahweh,“ For he is good, for his loving kindness endures forever toward Israel.” All the people shouted with a great shout, when they praised Yahweh, because the foundation of Yahweh’s house had been laid.

The singers the sons of Asaph were in their place, according to the commandment of David, Asaph, Heman, and Jeduthun the king’s seer; and the gatekeepers were at every gate. They didn’t need to depart from their service, because their brothers the Levites prepared for them.

They are there to this day.There was nothing in the ark except the two stone tablets which Moses put there at Horeb, when Yahweh made a covenant with the children of Israel, when they came out of the land of Egypt.It came to pass, when the priests had come out of the holy place, that the cloud filled Yahweh’s house,so that the priests could not stand to minister by reason of the cloud; for Yahweh’s glory filled Yahweh’s house.Then Solomon said,“ Yahweh has said that he would dwell in the thick darkness.I have surely built you a house of habitation, a place for you to dwell in forever.”
