Jabez called out to the God of Israel,“ If only you would bless me, extend my border, let your hand be with me, and keep me from harm, so that I will not experience pain.” And God granted his request.

Jabez cried out to the God of Israel,“ Oh, that you would bless me and enlarge my territory! Let your hand be with me, and keep me from harm so that I will be free from pain.” And God granted his request.

Jabez cried out to the God of Israel. He said,“ I wish you would bless me. I wish you would give me more territory. Let your power protect me. Keep me from harm. Then I won’t have any pain.” God gave him what he asked for.

Jabez called upon the God of Israel, saying,“ Oh that you would bless me and enlarge my border, and that your hand might be with me, and that you would keep me from harm so that it might not bring me pain!” And God granted what he asked.

He was the one who prayed to the God of Israel,“ Oh, that you would bless me and expand my territory! Please be with me in all that I do, and keep me from all trouble and pain!” And God granted him his request.

Now Jabez called on the God of Israel, saying,“ Oh that You would greatly bless me and extend my border, and that Your hand might be with me, and that You would keep me from harm so that it would not hurt me!” And God brought about what he requested.

And Jabez called on the God of Israel saying,“ Oh, that You would bless me indeed, and enlarge my territory, that Your hand would be with me, and that You would keep me from evil, that I may not cause pain!” So God granted him what he requested.

And Jabez called on the God of Israel, saying, Oh that thou wouldest bless me indeed, and enlarge my border, and that thy hand might be with me, and that thou wouldest keep me from evil, that it be not to my sorrow! And God granted him that which he requested.

Jabez called out to the God of Israel:“ If only You would bless me, extend my border, let Your hand be with me, and keep me from harm, so that I will not cause any pain.” And God granted his request.

And Jabez called on the God of Israel, saying, Oh that thou wouldest bless me indeed, and enlarge my coast, and that thine hand might be with me, and that thou wouldest keep[ me] from evil, that it may not grieve me! And God granted him that which he requested.

Jabez called out to the God of Israel,“ If only you would greatly bless me and expand my territory! May your hand be with me! Keep me from harm so I might not endure pain!” God answered his prayer.

Jabez called on the God of Israel, saying,“ Oh that you would bless me indeed, and enlarge my border! May your hand be with me, and may you keep me from evil, that I may not cause pain!” God granted him that which he requested.

“ Ask, and it will be given to you. Seek, and you will find. Knock, and the door will be opened to you.For everyone who asks receives, and the one who seeks finds, and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened.Who among you, if his son asks him for bread, will give him a stone?Or if he asks for a fish, will give him a snake?If you then, who are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good things to those who ask him.

I love the LORD because he has heard my appeal for mercy.Because he has turned his ear to me, I will call out to him as long as I live.The ropes of death were wrapped around me, and the torments of Sheol overcame me; I encountered trouble and sorrow.Then I called on the name of the LORD:“ LORD, save me!”

The LORD’s blessing enriches, and he adds no painful effort to it.

I give them eternal life, and they will never perish. No one will snatch them out of my hand.

Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and incomprehensible things you do not know.

Do not fear, for I am with you; do not be afraid, for I am your God. I will strengthen you; I will help you; I will hold on to you with my righteous right hand.

The Lord will rescue me from every evil work and will bring me safely into his heavenly kingdom. To him be the glory forever and ever! Amen.

May your hand be ready to help me, for I have chosen your precepts.

However, God has listened; he has paid attention to the sound of my prayer.Blessed be God! He has not turned away my prayer or turned his faithful love from me.

Blessed is the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavens in Christ.

Now to him who is able to do above and beyond all that we ask or think according to the power that works in us—

He asked you for life, and you gave it to him— length of days forever and ever.

You can also drive out the Canaanites, even though they have iron chariots and are strong.”

“ LORD my God, you have now made your servant king in my father David’s place. Yet I am just a youth with no experience in leadership.Your servant is among your people you have chosen, a people too many to be numbered or counted.So give your servant a receptive heart to judge your people and to discern between good and evil. For who is able to judge this great people of yours?”Now it pleased the Lord that Solomon had requested this.So God said to him,“ Because you have requested this and did not ask for long life or riches for yourself, or the death of your enemies, but you asked discernment for yourself to administer justice,I will therefore do what you have asked. They lived among the Canaanites who were living in the land, but the residents of Beth-shemesh and Beth-anath served as their forced labor.The Amorites forced the Danites into the hill country and did not allow them to go down into the valley.The Amorites were determined to stay in Har-heres, Aijalon, and Shaalbim. When the house of Joseph got the upper hand, the Amorites were made to serve as forced labor.The territory of the Amorites extended from the Scorpions’ Ascent, that is from Sela upward.

Restore the joy of your salvation to me, and sustain me by giving me a willing spirit.

saying,“ If you knew this day what would bring peace— but now it is hidden from your eyes.

Eli responded,“ Go in peace, and may the God of Israel grant the request you’ve made of him.”

Keep falsehood and deceitful words far from me. Give me neither poverty nor wealth; feed me with the food I need.

I am a laughingstock to my friends, by calling on God, who answers me. The righteous and blameless man is a laughingstock.

And do not bring us into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one.
