And Jabez called on the God of Israel, saying, Oh that thou wouldest bless me indeed, and enlarge my border, and that thy hand might be with me, and that thou wouldest keep me from evil, that it be not to my sorrow! And God granted him that which he requested.

雅必禱以色列族之上帝、曰、願爾錫嘏於我、恢擴四境、眷祐乎我、免遭患難、毫無所憂。上帝允其所祈。

Jabez cried out to the God of Israel,“ Oh, that you would bless me and enlarge my territory! Let your hand be with me, and keep me from harm so that I will be free from pain.” And God granted his request.

Jabez cried out to the God of Israel. He said,“ I wish you would bless me. I wish you would give me more territory. Let your power protect me. Keep me from harm. Then I won’t have any pain.” God gave him what he asked for.

Jabez called upon the God of Israel, saying,“ Oh that you would bless me and enlarge my border, and that your hand might be with me, and that you would keep me from harm so that it might not bring me pain!” And God granted what he asked.

He was the one who prayed to the God of Israel,“ Oh, that you would bless me and expand my territory! Please be with me in all that I do, and keep me from all trouble and pain!” And God granted him his request.

Jabez called out to the God of Israel,“ If only you would bless me, extend my border, let your hand be with me, and keep me from harm, so that I will not experience pain.” And God granted his request.

Now Jabez called on the God of Israel, saying,“ Oh that You would greatly bless me and extend my border, and that Your hand might be with me, and that You would keep me from harm so that it would not hurt me!” And God brought about what he requested.

And Jabez called on the God of Israel saying,“ Oh, that You would bless me indeed, and enlarge my territory, that Your hand would be with me, and that You would keep me from evil, that I may not cause pain!” So God granted him what he requested.

Jabez called out to the God of Israel:“ If only You would bless me, extend my border, let Your hand be with me, and keep me from harm, so that I will not cause any pain.” And God granted his request.

And Jabez called on the God of Israel, saying, Oh that thou wouldest bless me indeed, and enlarge my coast, and that thine hand might be with me, and that thou wouldest keep[ me] from evil, that it may not grieve me! And God granted him that which he requested.

Jabez called out to the God of Israel,“ If only you would greatly bless me and expand my territory! May your hand be with me! Keep me from harm so I might not endure pain!” God answered his prayer.

Jabez called on the God of Israel, saying,“ Oh that you would bless me indeed, and enlarge my border! May your hand be with me, and may you keep me from evil, that I may not cause pain!” God granted him that which he requested.

Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:for every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.Or what man is there of you, who, if his son shall ask him for a loaf, will give him a stone;or if he shall ask for a fish, will give him a serpent?If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father who is in heaven give good things to them that ask him?

I love Jehovah, because he heareth My voice and my supplications.Because he hath inclined his ear unto me, Therefore will I call upon him as long as I live.The cords of death compassed me, And the pains of Sheol gat hold upon me: I found trouble and sorrow.Then called I upon the name of Jehovah: O Jehovah, I beseech thee, deliver my soul.

The blessing of Jehovah, it maketh rich; And he addeth no sorrow therewith.

and I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, and no one shall snatch them out of my hand.

Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and will show thee great things, and difficult, which thou knowest not.

fear thou not, for I am with thee; be not dismayed, for I am thy God; I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.

The Lord will deliver me from every evil work, and will save me unto his heavenly kingdom: to whom be the glory for ever and ever. Amen.

Let thy hand be ready to help me; For I have chosen thy precepts.

But verily God hath heard; He hath attended to the voice of my prayer.Blessed be God, Who hath not turned away my prayer, Nor his lovingkindness from me.

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ:

Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,

He asked life of thee, thou gavest it him, Even length of days for ever and ever.

The poor and needy seek water, and there is none, and their tongue faileth for thirst; I, Jehovah, will answer them, I, the God of Israel, will not forsake them.

As for me, I will call upon God; And Jehovah will save me.

For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek: for the same Lord is Lord of all, and is rich unto all that call upon him:for, Whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?

And he erected there an altar, and called it El- Elohe- Israel.

and I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and be thou a blessing:

Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation; And uphold me with a willing spirit.

saying, If thou hadst known in this day, even thou, the things which belong unto peace! but now they are hid from thine eyes.

Then Eli answered and said, Go in peace; and the God of Israel grant thy petition that thou hast asked of him.

Remove far from me falsehood and lies; Give me neither poverty nor riches; Feed me with the food that is needful for me:

I am as one that is a laughing- stock to his neighbor, I who called upon God, and he answered: The just, the perfect man is a laughing- stock.

And bring us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one.

Unto you first God, having raised up his Servant, sent him to bless you, in turning away every one of you from your iniquities.

For your obedience is come abroad unto all men. I rejoice therefore over you: but I would have you wise unto that which is good, and simple unto that which is evil.

And grieve not the Holy Spirit of God, in whom ye were sealed unto the day of redemption.

Let love be without hypocrisy. Abhor that which is evil; cleave to that which is good.

But I determined this for myself, that I would not come again to you with sorrow.For if I make you sorry, who then is he that maketh me glad but he that is made sorry by me?And I wrote this very thing, lest, when I came, I should have sorrow from them of whom I ought to rejoice; having confidence in you all, that my joy is the joy of you all.For out of much affliction and anguish of heart I wrote unto you with many tears; not that ye should be made sorry, but that ye might know the love which I have more abundantly unto you.But if any hath caused sorrow, he hath caused sorrow, not to me, but in part( that I press not too heavily) to you all.Sufficient to such a one is this punishment which was inflicted by the many;so that contrariwise ye should rather forgive him and comfort him, lest by any means such a one should be swallowed up with his overmuch sorrow.
