The people rejoiced at the willing response of their leaders, for they had given freely and wholeheartedly to the Lord. David the king also rejoiced greatly.

The people were happy when they saw what their leaders had been willing to give. The leaders had given freely. With their whole heart they had given everything to the Lord. King David was filled with joy.

所以你們的心總要純純全全地歸向永恆主我們的上帝，遵行他的律例，謹守他的誡命，像今日一樣。』

各人要照心裏所酌定的，不要心疼，不要勉強：因為上帝愛歡心樂意的捐獻者。上帝能使各樣的恩惠充盈滿溢地流到你們身上來，使你們凡事常有十分的充足，能夠溢流出各樣慈善的事來。

我的上帝啊，我知道是你察驗人心，喜悅正直；至於我呢、我也以正直的心自願奉獻這一切；現在呢、我很歡喜見你那在這裏的人民都甘心自願地奉獻與你。

我在主裏大大地喜樂，因為你們惦念我的心，終究再萌了芽。我的事、你們素來總是惦念的，只是沒有機會罷了。

這些事我對你們說了，是要使我的喜樂存在你們裏面，並使你們的喜樂得以完滿。

現在提摩太既從你們那裏到我們這裏來了，他將你們信心和愛心的好消息報告我們；說你們對我們常親切地惦念着、切慕要見我們，正如我們切慕要見你們一樣。故此弟兄們，在我們的一切困難和患難中、我們藉着你們的信心、就在你們的事上得了鼓勵了。如今你們若在主裏站穩，我們就真地活了。我們為了你們的緣故、在我們的上帝面前、大大喜樂（黑夜白日、格外懇切地祈求、要見你們的面、來補你們信心的缺欠）；在這一切喜樂上、我們能用何等的感謝來為你們報答上帝呢？

要向永恆主你的上帝舉行七七節，儘你所給的、你手自願獻的祭的分量、照永恆主你的上帝所賜福你的來舉行。要在永恆主你的上帝面前歡樂，你跟你兒子和女兒、你的奴僕和使女、以及在你城內的利未人、跟在你中間的寄居者和孤兒寡婦、都要在永恆主你的上帝所要選擇做他名之居所的地方歡樂。

來到家裏，就招集朋友和同鄉，對他們說：「和我一同歡喜吧，因為我那失掉的羊、我已經找着了。

因為願作的熱心若擺在前頭，蒙悅納是照所有的，不是照所無的。

我心嚮往於以色列的指揮者、民間自願從軍的人；你們要祝頌永恆主。

所以我所親愛所切慕的弟兄們，我的喜樂和華冠哪，你們要這樣站穩在主裏，親愛的啊。

當你的軍隊出戰的日子，你的眾民都甘心樂意地在聖山上服役；從晨曦初現時你就有了你那青春的朝氣。

弟子啊，你的心若有智慧，我的心也歡喜。你的嘴說對的事之時，我的心腸就歡躍。

好使你們無可責備、而又天真，在彎曲乖僻的世代中做上帝的兒女、無瑕無疵；你們顯於其中像發光之體在世界裏，把生命之道舉出來，好等基督的日子做我所誇口的，誇我沒有空跑，也沒有空勞。然而、就使我的血做奠祭來澆在你們信心的祭物和供奉上、我也歡喜，並且和你們眾人一同歡喜。
