所羅門坐他父親大衛的王位，他的國度非常穩固。

耶和華賜我許多兒子，在我兒子中揀選我兒子所羅門坐耶和華國度的王位，治理以色列。

我勸你因上帝誓言的緣故，當遵守王的命令。不要急躁離開王的面前，不要固執行惡，因為他凡事都隨自己心意而行。王的話本有權力，誰能對他說：「你在做甚麼？」凡遵守命令的，必不經歷禍患；智慧人的心知道適當的時機和必經的過程。

我兒啊，現今願耶和華與你同在，使你亨通，建造耶和華－你上帝的殿，正如他指着你所說的。

在上有權柄的，人人要順服，因為沒有權柄不是來自上帝的。掌權的都是上帝所立的。

當你壽數滿足歸你祖先的時候，我必使你的後裔，你自己的兒子接續你；我也必堅定他的國。他必為我建造殿宇，我必堅定他的王位，直到永遠。

耶和華憑信實向大衛起了誓，絕不改變：「我要立你身所生的坐在你的寶座上。

因有一嬰孩為我們而生；有一子賜給我們。政權必擔在他的肩頭上；他名稱為「奇妙策士、全能的上帝、永在的父、和平的君」。他的政權與平安必加增無窮。他必在大衛的寶座上治理他的國，以公平公義使國堅定穩固，從今直到永遠。萬軍之耶和華的熱心必成就這事。
