Then Solomon sat on the throne of the Lord as king instead of his father David; and he prospered, and all Israel obeyed him.

So Solomon sat on the throne of the Lord as king in place of his father David. He prospered and all Israel obeyed him.

I say,“ Keep the command of the king because of the oath before God.Do not be in a hurry to leave him. Do not join in an evil matter, for he will do whatever he pleases.”Since the word of the king is authoritative, who will say to him,“ What are you doing?”One who keeps a royal command experiences no trouble, for a wise heart knows the proper time and procedure.

Now, my son, the Lord be with you that you may be successful, and build the house of the Lord your God just as He has spoken concerning you.

Every person is to be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and those which exist are established by God.

When your days are fulfilled that you must go to be with your fathers, then I will set up one of your descendants after you, who will be from your sons; and I will establish his kingdom.He shall build for Me a house, and I will establish his throne forever.

The Lord has sworn to David A truth from which He will not turn back:“ I will set upon your throne one from the fruit of your body.

For a Child will be born to us, a Son will be given to us; And the government will rest on His shoulders; And His name will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Eternal Father, Prince of Peace.There will be no end to the increase of His government or of peace On the throne of David and over his kingdom, To establish it and to uphold it with justice and righteousness From then on and forevermore. The zeal of the Lord of armies will accomplish this.
