在耶和華前、式飲式食、欣喜懽忭、以大闢子所羅門再立為王、奉耶和華命、沐之以膏、俾作民主、以撒督為祭司長、

眾於是日、皆大喜樂、式食式飲於主前、以大衛子所羅門再立為王、膏之於主前為君、又膏撒督為大祭司、

They ate and drank with great joy in the presence of the Lord that day. Then they acknowledged Solomon son of David as king a second time, anointing him before the Lord to be ruler and Zadok to be priest.

They ate and drank with great joy that day. They did it in front of the Lord. Then they announced a second time that Solomon was king. He was the son of David. They anointed Solomon in front of the Lord. They anointed him to be ruler. They also anointed Zadok to be priest.

And they ate and drank before the Lord on that day with great gladness. And they made Solomon the son of David king the second time, and they anointed him as prince for the Lord, and Zadok as priest.

They feasted and drank in the Lord’s presence with great joy that day. And again they crowned David’s son Solomon as their new king. They anointed him before the Lord as their leader, and they anointed Zadok as priest.

They ate and drank with great joy in the LORD’s presence that day. Then, for a second time, they made David’s son Solomon king; they anointed him as the LORD’s ruler, and Zadok as the priest.

大衛年紀老邁，壽數將盡，就立他兒子所羅門為以色列王。

王委派耶何耶大的兒子比拿雅替代約押為元帥，命撒督祭司代替亞比亞他。

撒督祭司和拿單先知要在那裡膏立他為以色列王。你們要吹響號角，高喊，『所羅門王萬歲！』然後，你們要隨他回來，他要登基，繼承我的王位。我已立他做以色列和猶大的君王了。」耶何耶大的兒子比拿雅說：「遵命，願我主我王的上帝耶和華成全這事。耶和華怎樣與我主我王同在，願祂也照樣與所羅門同在，使他的國比我主大衛王的國更強大。」於是，撒督祭司、拿單先知、耶何耶大的兒子比拿雅，以及基利提人和比利提人請所羅門騎上大衛王的騾子，護送他前往基訓。撒督祭司從聖幕裡拿來盛膏油的角，膏立所羅門為王。他們吹響號角，民眾高聲歡呼：「所羅門王萬歲！」

去歡歡喜喜、快快樂樂地吃喝吧！因為上帝已經悅納你所做的。

你們和家人要在那裡，在你們的上帝耶和華面前吃喝；要為你們所做的一切蒙祂賜福而歡喜快樂。

拔示芭就向王俯伏下拜說：「我主我王萬歲！」

我認識到，人生在世沒有什麼比歡樂、享受更好。人人都該吃喝、享受自己勞苦的成果，這是上帝的恩賜。

你們要把我吩咐你們獻的燔祭、各種牲祭、十一奉獻、舉祭和一切還願祭帶到你們的上帝耶和華選定的敬拜場所。在那裡，你們和兒女、僕婢及同城中沒有分到土地作產業的利未人，要一起在你們的上帝耶和華面前歡喜快樂。

你要勸誡那些今世富足的人不要高傲，也不要冀望於靠不住的錢財，要信靠將萬物厚賜給我們享用的上帝。你要勸他們多多行善、慷慨施捨、樂意助人。

因此，我便讚賞享樂，因為在日光之下沒有什麼比吃喝快樂更好。這是人在上帝所賜的年日裡，從勞碌中當得的享受。

住棚節期間，你們要和兒女、僕婢、同城的利未人、寄居者及孤兒寡婦一起歡慶。要在你們的上帝耶和華選定的地方，為祂守住棚節七天；要滿心歡喜，因為你們的上帝耶和華賜福你們，使你們的出產豐富、凡事順利。「你們所有男子要每年三次，即在無酵節、七七收穫節和住棚節，在你們的上帝耶和華指定的地方朝見祂。你們不可空手朝見，各人要按祂賜的福分，盡自己的能力獻上禮物。

於是，全體民眾去吃喝，並分給他人，非常歡喜，因為他們明白了教導給他們的話。

七月二十三日，所羅門王讓民眾各回本鄉。他們看見耶和華向大衛、所羅門和祂的以色列子民所施的恩惠，就滿心歡喜地回家去了。

上帝沒有伸手殺這些以色列的首領，允許他們看見祂，在祂面前吃喝。

對人而言，沒有什麼比吃喝並享受勞碌之樂更好，我看這也是出自上帝的手。
