And of all my sons( for Jehovah hath given me many sons), he hath chosen Solomon my son to sit upon the throne of the kingdom of Jehovah over Israel.

Of all my sons— and the Lord has given me many— he has chosen my son Solomon to sit on the throne of the kingdom of the Lord over Israel.

The Lord has given me many sons. From all of them he has chosen my son Solomon. He wants Solomon to sit on the throne of the Lord’ s kingdom. He wants him to rule over Israel.

And of all my sons( for the Lord has given me many sons) he has chosen Solomon my son to sit on the throne of the kingdom of the Lord over Israel.

And from among my sons— for the Lord has given me many— he chose Solomon to succeed me on the throne of Israel and to rule over the Lord’s kingdom.

And out of all my sons— for the LORD has given me many sons— he has chosen my son Solomon to sit on the throne of the LORD’s kingdom over Israel.

Of all my sons( for the Lord has given me many sons), He has chosen my son Solomon to sit on the throne of the kingdom of the Lord over Israel.

From all the many sons the LORD has given me, he chose Solomon my son to rule on his behalf over Israel.

Now these were the sons of David, that were born unto him in Hebron: the first- born, Amnon, of Ahinoam the Jezreelitess; the second, Daniel, of Abigail the Carmelitess;the third, Absalom the son of Maacah the daughter of Talmai king of Geshur; the fourth, Adonijah the son of Haggith;the fifth, Shephatiah of Abital; the sixth, Ithream by Eglah his wife:six were born unto him in Hebron; and there he reigned seven years and six months. And in Jerusalem he reigned thirty and three years;and these were born unto him in Jerusalem: Shimea, and Shobab, and Nathan, and Solomon, four, of Bath- shua the daughter of Ammiel;and Ibhar, and Elishama, and Eliphelet,and Nogah, and Nepheg, and Japhia,and Elishama, and Eliada, and Eliphelet, nine.All these were the sons of David, besides the sons of the concubines; and Tamar was their sister.

Now David was old and full of days; and he made Solomon his son king over Israel.

Behold, a son shall be born to thee, who shall be a man of rest; and I will give him rest from all his enemies round about; for his name shall be Solomon, and I will give peace and quietness unto Israel in his days:he shall build a house for my name; and he shall be my son, and I will be his father; and I will establish the throne of his kingdom over Israel for ever.

but I will settle him in my house and in my kingdom for ever; and his throne shall be established for ever.

Give the king thy judgments, O God, And thy righteousness unto the king’s son.He will judge thy people with righteousness, And thy poor with justice.The mountains shall bring peace to the people, And the hills, in righteousness.He will judge the poor of the people, He will save the children of the needy, And will break in pieces the oppressor.They shall fear thee while the sun endureth, And so long as the moon, throughout all generations.He will come down like rain upon the mown grass, As showers that water the earth.In his days shall the righteous flourish, And abundance of peace, till the moon be no more.He shall have dominion also from sea to sea, And from the River unto the ends of the earth.They that dwell in the wilderness shall bow before him; And his enemies shall lick the dust.The kings of Tarshish and of the isles shall render tribute: The kings of Sheba and Seba shall offer gifts.Yea, all kings shall fall down before him; All nations shall serve him.For he will deliver the needy when he crieth, And the poor, that hath no helper.He will have pity on the poor and needy, And the souls of the needy he will save.He will redeem their soul from oppression and violence; And precious will their blood be in his sight:And they shall live; and to him shall be given of the gold of Sheba: And men shall pray for him continually; They shall bless him all the day long.There shall be abundance of grain in the earth upon the top of the mountains; The fruit thereof shall shake like Lebanon: And they of the city shall flourish like grass of the earth.His name shall endure for ever; His name shall be continued as long as the sun: And men shall be blessed in him; All nations shall call him happy.Blessed be Jehovah God, the God of Israel, Who only doeth wondrous things:And blessed be his glorious name for ever; And let the whole earth be filled with his glory. Amen, and Amen.The prayers of David the son of Jesse are ended.

For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given; and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.Of the increase of his government and of peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to establish it, and to uphold it with justice and with righteousness from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of Jehovah of hosts will perform this.

Then Solomon sat on the throne of Jehovah as king instead of David his father, and prospered; and all Israel obeyed him.

And Solomon said unto God, Thou hast showed great lovingkindness unto David my father, and hast made me king in his stead.Now, O Jehovah God, let thy promise unto David my father be established; for thou hast made me king over a people like the dust of the earth in multitude.

And David the king said unto all the assembly, Solomon my son, whom alone God hath chosen, is yet young and tender, and the work is great; for the palace is not for man, but for Jehovah God.

And David took more wives at Jerusalem; and David begat more sons and daughters.And these are the names of the children whom he had in Jerusalem: Shammua, and Shobab, Nathan, and Solomon,and Ibhar, and Elishua, and Elpelet,and Nogah, and Nepheg, and Japhia,and Elishama, and Beeliada, and Eliphelet.
