But God said to me,‘ You shall not build a house for My name, because you are a man of war and have shed blood.’

只是神对我说：‘你不可为我的名建造殿宇；因你是战士，流了人的血。’

可是神对我说：‘你不可为我的名建造殿宇，因为你是个战士，曾杀人流血。’

只是神對我說：『你不可為我的名建造殿宇；因你是戰士，流了人的血。』

只是上帝對我說：『你不可為我的名建造殿宇，因你是戰士，流了人的血。』

只是神對我說：『你不可為我的名建造殿宇，因你是戰士，流了人的血。』

但上帝對我說，『你不可為我的名建造殿宇，因為你是個戰士，曾流過人的血。』

可是神對我說：‘你不可為我的名建造殿宇，因為你是個戰士，曾殺人流血。’

只是上帝對我說：『你不可為我的名建殿，因為你是戰士，你流了人的血。』

惟上帝諭我曰、爾乃戰士、流人之血、不可為我名建室、

上帝諭我曰、爾戰鬥殺人、不當建殿、為籲我名之地。

惟天主諭我曰、爾多戰殺人、殺人原文作流血不當為我名建殿、

But God said to me,‘ You are not to build a house for my Name, because you are a warrior and have shed blood.’

But God said to me,‘ You are not the one who will build a house for my Name. That is because you are a fighting man. You have spilled people’s blood.’

But God said to me,‘ You may not build a house for my name, for you are a man of war and have shed blood.’

but God said to me,‘ You must not build a Temple to honor my name, for you are a warrior and have shed much blood.’

but God said to me,‘ You are not to build a house for my name because you are a man of war and have shed blood.’

But God said to me,‘ You shall not build a house for My name, because you have been a man of war and have shed blood.’

But God said unto me, Thou shalt not build a house for my name, because thou art a man of war, and hast shed blood.

but God said to me,‘ You are not to build a house for My name because you are a man of war and have shed blood.’

But God said unto me, Thou shalt not build an house for my name, because thou[ hast been] a man of war, and hast shed blood.

But the word of the Lord came to me, saying,‘ You have shed much blood and have waged great wars; you shall not build a house to My name, because you have shed so much blood on the earth before Me.

“ Go and tell David My servant,‘ This is what the Lord says:“ You shall not build a house for Me to dwell in;

But the Lord said to my father David,‘ Because it was in your heart to build a house for My name, you did well that it was in your heart.Nevertheless you shall not build the house, but your son who will be born to you, he shall build the house for My name.’

“ You know that David my father was unable to build a house for the name of the Lord his God because of the wars which surrounded him, until the Lord put them under the soles of his feet.

“ Go and say to My servant David,‘ This is what the Lord says:“ Should you build Me a house for My dwelling?For I have not dwelt in a house since the day I brought up the sons of Israel from Egypt, even to this day; rather, I have been moving about in a tent, that is, in a dwelling place.Wherever I have gone with all the sons of Israel, did I speak a word with one of the tribes of Israel, whom I commanded to shepherd My people Israel, saying,‘ Why have you not built Me a house of cedar?’ ” ’Now then, this is what you shall say to My servant David:‘ This is what the Lord of armies says:“ I Myself took you from the pasture, from following the sheep, to be leader over My people Israel.And I have been with you wherever you have gone, and have eliminated all your enemies from you; I will also make a great name for you, like the names of the great men who are on the earth.And I will establish a place for My people Israel, and will plant them, so that they may live in their own place and not be disturbed again, nor will malicious people oppress them anymore as previously,even from the day that I appointed judges over My people Israel; and I will give you rest from all your enemies. The Lord also declares to you that the Lord will make a house for you.When your days are finished and you lie down with your fathers, I will raise up your descendant after you, who will come from you, and I will establish his kingdom.He shall build a house for My name, and I will establish the throne of his kingdom forever.
