“ All this,” said David,“ the Lord made me understand in writing by His hand upon me, all the details of this pattern.”

See that you make them by the pattern for them, which was shown to you on the mountain.

The porch in front of the main room of the house was twenty cubits in length, corresponding to the width of the house, and its width along the front of the house was ten cubits.

who serve a copy and shadow of the heavenly things, just as Moses was warned by God when he was about to erect the tabernacle; for,“ See,” He says,“ that you make all things by the pattern which was shown to you on the mountain.”

“ And you shall make an atoning cover of pure gold, two and a half cubits long and one and a half cubits wide.You shall make two cherubim of gold; make them of hammered work at the two ends of the atoning cover.Make one cherub at one end and one cherub at the other end; you shall make the cherubim of one piece with the atoning cover at its two ends.And the cherubim shall have their wings spread upward, covering the atoning cover with their wings and facing one another; the faces of the cherubim are to be turned toward the atoning cover.Then you shall put the atoning cover on top of the ark, and in the ark you shall put the testimony which I will give to you.There I will meet with you; and from above the atoning cover, from between the two cherubim which are upon the ark of the testimony, I will speak to you about every commandment that I will give you for the sons of Israel.

Then he brought me to the porch of the temple and measured each side pillar of the porch, five cubits on each side; and the width of the gate was three cubits on each side.The length of the porch was twenty cubits, and the width eleven cubits; and at the stairway by which it was ascended were columns belonging to the side pillars, one on each side.

Then the priests brought the ark of the covenant of the Lord to its place, into the inner sanctuary of the house, to the Most Holy Place, under the wings of the cherubim.

Then he measured the porch of the gate facing inward, one rod.And he measured the porch of the gate, eight cubits; and its side pillars, two cubits. And the porch of the gate was faced inward.

Against the wall of the house he built stories encompassing the walls of the house around both the main room and the inner sanctuary; so he made side chambers all around.The lowest story was five cubits wide, the middle was six cubits wide, and the third was seven cubits wide; for on the outside he made offsets in the wall of the house all around so that the beams would not be inserted into the walls of the house.

He also built the stories against the whole house, each five cubits high; and they were attached to the house with timbers of cedar.

The side chambers were in three stories, one above another, and thirty in each story; and the side chambers extended to the wall which stood on their inward side all around, so that they could be attached, but not be attached to the wall of the temple itself.And the side chambers surrounding the temple were wider at each successive story. Because the structure surrounding the temple went upward by stages on all sides of the temple, for that reason the width of the temple increased as it went higher; and so one went up from the lowest story to the highest by way of the second story.I saw also that the house had a raised platform all around; the foundations of the side chambers were a full rod of six long cubits in height.The thickness of the outer wall of the side chambers was five cubits. But the free space between the side chambers belonging to the templeand the outer chambers was twenty cubits in width around the temple on every side.The doorways of the side chambers toward the free space consisted of one doorway toward the north, and another doorway toward the south; and the width of the free space was five cubits all around.

And from the front of the entrance gate to the front of the inner porch of the gate was fifty cubits.

So the sons of Israel did all the work according to everything that the Lord had commanded Moses.And Moses examined all the work, and behold, they had done it; just as the Lord had commanded, this they had done. So Moses blessed them.

For a tabernacle was equipped, the outer sanctuary, in which were the lampstand, the table, and the sacred bread; this is called the Holy Place.Behind the second veil there was a tabernacle which is called the Most Holy Place,having a golden altar of incense and the ark of the covenant covered on all sides with gold, in which was a golden jar holding the manna, Aaron’s staff which budded, and the tablets of the covenant;and above it were the cherubim of glory overshadowing the atoning cover; but about these things we cannot now speak in detail.Now when these things have been so prepared, the priests are continually entering the outer tabernacle, performing the divine worship,but into the second, only the high priest enters once a year, not without taking blood which he offers for himself and for the sins of the people committed in ignorance.The Holy Spirit is signifying this, that the way into the holy place has not yet been disclosed while the outer tabernacle is still standing,

He also built twenty cubits on the rear part of the house with boards of cedar from the floor to the ceiling; he built them for it on the inside as an inner sanctuary, as the Most Holy Place.The house, that is, the main room in front of the inner sanctuary, was forty cubits long.There was cedar inside the house, carved in the shape of gourds and open flowers; everything was cedar, there was no stone visible.Then he prepared an inner sanctuary inside the house in order to place there the ark of the covenant of the Lord.The inner sanctuary was twenty cubits in length, twenty cubits in width, and twenty cubits in height; and he overlaid it with pure gold. He also paneled the altar with cedar.

Then he measured the temple, a hundred cubits long; the separate area with the building and its walls were also a hundred cubits long.Also the width of the front of the temple and that of the separate areas along the east side totaled a hundred cubits.And he measured the length of the building along the front of the separate area behind it, with a gallery on each side, a hundred cubits; he also measured the inner sanctuary and the porches of the courtyard.The thresholds, the latticed windows, and the galleries all around their three stories, opposite the threshold, were paneled with wood all around, and from the ground to the windows( but the windows were covered),over the entrance, and to the inner house, and on the outside, and on all the wall all around inside and outside, by measurement.

And the priest, the son of Aaron, shall be with the Levites when the Levites receive tithes, and the Levites shall bring up the tenth of the tithes to the house of our God, to the chambers of the storehouse.For the sons of Israel and the sons of Levi shall bring the contribution of the grain, the new wine, and the oil to the chambers; the utensils of the sanctuary, the priests who are ministering, the gatekeepers, and the singers are there. So we will not neglect the house of our God.

Now these are the foundations which Solomon laid for building the house of God. The length in cubits, according to the old standard, was sixty cubits, and the width, twenty cubits.The porch which was in front of the house was as long as the width of the house, twenty cubits, and the height twenty; and inside he overlaid it with pure gold.He overlaid the main room with juniper wood and overlaid it with fine gold; and he ornamented it with palm trees and chains.Further, he overlaid the house with precious stones; and the gold was gold from Parvaim.He also overlaid the house with gold— the beams, the thresholds, and its walls and doors; and he carved cherubim on the walls.Then he made the room of the Most Holy Place: its length across the width of the house was twenty cubits, and its width was twenty cubits; and he overlaid it with fine gold, amounting to six hundred talents.The weight of the nails was fifty shekels of gold. He also overlaid the upper rooms with gold.Then he made two sculptured cherubim in the room of the Most Holy Place and overlaid them with gold.

for the four chief gatekeepers, who were Levites, served in an official capacity, and were in charge of the chambers and in charge of the treasuries in the house of God.They spent the night around the house of God, because the watch was committed to them; and they were in charge of opening it morning by morning.Now some of them were in charge of the utensils of the service, for they counted them when they brought them in and when they took them out.Some of them also were appointed over the furniture and over all the utensils of the sanctuary, and over the finely milled flour, the wine, the olive oil, the frankincense, and the balsam oil.

“ Go to the house of the Rechabites and speak to them, and bring them into the house of the Lord, into one of the chambers, and give them wine to drink.”

Then he took the testimony and put it into the ark, and attached the poles to the ark, and put the atoning cover on top of the ark.He then brought the ark into the tabernacle, and set up a veil for the covering, and screened off the ark of the testimony, just as the Lord had commanded Moses.

The Levites, their relatives, were in charge of the treasures of the house of God and of the treasures of the dedicated gifts.The sons of Ladan, the sons of the Gershonites belonging to Ladan, namely, the Jehielites, were the heads of the fathers’ households, belonging to Ladan the Gershonite.The sons of Jehieli, Zetham, and his brother Joel, were in charge of the treasures of the house of the Lord.As for the Amramites, the Izharites, the Hebronites, and the Uzzielites,Shebuel the son of Gershom, the son of Moses, was officer over the treasures.His relatives by Eliezer were Rehabiah his son, Jeshaiah his son, Joram his son, Zichri his son, and Shelomoth his son.This Shelomoth and his relatives were in charge of all the treasures of the dedicated gifts which King David and the heads of the fathers’ households, the commanders of thousands and hundreds, and the commanders of the army, had dedicated.They dedicated part of the spoils won in battles to repair the house of the Lord.

Then you shall erect the tabernacle according to its plan which you have been shown on the mountain.

Now He looked up and saw the wealthy putting their gifts into the temple treasury.

“ As for you, son of man, inform the house of Israel of the temple, so that they will be ashamed of their wrongdoings; and have them measure the plan.And if they are ashamed of everything that they have done, make known to them the plan of the house, its layout, its exits, its entrances, all its plans, all its statutes, and all its laws. And write it in their sight, so that they may observe its entire plan and all its statutes and execute them.

had prepared a large room for him, where previously they used to put the grain offerings, the frankincense, the utensils and the tithes of grain, wine, and oil prescribed for the Levites, the singers, and the gatekeepers, and the contributions for the priests.
