他們又將銀子給石匠、木匠，把糧食、酒、油給西頓人、泰爾人，使他們將香柏樹從黎巴嫩運到海裏，浮海運到約帕，是照波斯王塞魯士所允准的。

建殿是用山中鑿成的石頭。建殿的時候，鎚子、斧子，和別樣鐵器的響聲都沒有聽見。

這樣，你們不再作外人和客旅，是與聖徒同國，是神家裏的人了；並且被建造在使徒和先知的根基上，有基督耶穌自己為房角石，各房靠他聯絡得合式，漸漸成為主的聖殿。你們也靠他同被建造，成為神藉着聖靈居住的所在。

那時，外人必起來牧放你們的羊羣；外邦人必作你們耕種田地的，修理葡萄園的。你們倒要稱為耶和華的祭司；人必稱你們為我們神的僕役。你們必吃用列國的財物，因得他們的榮耀自誇。

至於國中所剩下不屬以色列人的赫人、亞摩利人、比利洗人、希未人、耶布斯人，就是以色列人未曾滅絕的，所羅門挑取他們的後裔作服苦的奴僕，直到今日。

建造這一切所用的石頭都是寶貴的，是按着尺寸鑿成的，是用鋸裏外鋸齊的；從根基直到檐石，從外頭直到大院，都是如此。根基是寶貴的大石頭，有長十肘的，有長八肘的；上面有香柏木和按着尺寸鑿成寶貴的石頭。大院周圍有鑿成的石頭三層、香柏木一層，都照耶和華殿的內院和殿廊的樣式。
