大卫吩咐人召集住在以色列地的外族人，又派石匠开凿石头，要建造神的殿。

大衛曰、此乃耶和華上帝之室、以色列燔祭之壇、○

大闢曰、耶和華上帝之殿、以色列族燔祭之壇、宜建於此。

大衛曰、此主天主之殿、此以色列人獻火焚祭之祭臺、或作主天主之殿以色列人獻火焚祭之祭臺俱當在此○

Then David said,“ The house of the Lord God is to be here, and also the altar of burnt offering for Israel.”

David announced,“ The house of the Lord God will be built here. Israel’s altar for burnt offerings will also be here.”

Then David said,“ Here shall be the house of the Lord God and here the altar of burnt offering for Israel.”

Then David said,“ This will be the location for the Temple of the Lord God and the place of the altar for Israel’s burnt offerings!”

Then David said,“ This is the house of the LORD God, and this is the altar of burnt offering for Israel.”

Then David said,“ This is the house of the Lord God, and this is the altar of burnt offering for Israel.”

Then David said,“ This is the house of the Lord God, and this is the altar of burnt offering for Israel.”

Then David said, This is the house of Jehovah God, and this is the altar of burnt- offering for Israel.

Then David said,“ This is the house of the Lord God, and this is the altar of burnt offering for Israel.”

Then David said, This[ is] the house of the LORD God, and this[ is] the altar of the burnt offering for Israel.

David then said,“ This is the place where the temple of the LORD God will be, along with the altar for burnt sacrifices for Israel.”

Then David said,“ This is the house of Yahweh God, and this is the altar of burnt offering for Israel.”

Then Solomon began to build the temple of the Lord in Jerusalem on Mount Moriah, where the Lord had appeared to his father David. It was on the threshing floor of Araunah the Jebusite, the place provided by David. (niv)

Then the angel of the Lord ordered Gad to tell David to go up and build an altar to the Lord on the threshing floor of Araunah the Jebusite.So David went up in obedience to the word that Gad had spoken in the name of the Lord.While Araunah was threshing wheat, he turned and saw the angel; his four sons who were with him hid themselves.Then David approached, and when Araunah looked and saw him, he left the threshing floor and bowed down before David with his face to the ground.David said to him,“ Let me have the site of your threshing floor so I can build an altar to the Lord, that the plague on the people may be stopped. Sell it to me at the full price.”Araunah said to David,“ Take it! Let my lord the king do whatever pleases him. Look, I will give the oxen for the burnt offerings, the threshing sledges for the wood, and the wheat for the grain offering. I will give all this.”But King David replied to Araunah,“ No, I insist on paying the full price. I will not take for the Lord what is yours, or sacrifice a burnt offering that costs me nothing.”So David paid Araunah six hundred shekels of gold for the site.David built an altar to the Lord there and sacrificed burnt offerings and fellowship offerings. He called on the Lord, and the Lord answered him with fire from heaven on the altar of burnt offering.Then the Lord spoke to the angel, and he put his sword back into its sheath.At that time, when David saw that the Lord had answered him on the threshing floor of Araunah the Jebusite, he offered sacrifices there. He was afraid and said,“ How awesome is this place! This is none other than the house of God; this is the gate of heaven.” (niv)

But if you say to me,“ We are depending on the Lord our God”— isn’t he the one whose high places and altars Hezekiah removed, saying to Judah and Jerusalem,“ You must worship before this altar in Jerusalem”? (niv)

For the Lord has chosen Zion, he has desired it for his dwelling, saying,“ This is my resting place for ever and ever; here I will sit enthroned, for I have desired it. (niv)

Did not Hezekiah himself remove this god’s high places and altars, saying to Judah and Jerusalem,‘ You must worship before one altar and burn sacrifices on it’? (niv)

He abandoned the tabernacle of Shiloh, the tent he had set up among humans. (niv)

On that day Gad went to David and said to him,“ Go up and build an altar to the Lord on the threshing floor of Araunah the Jebusite.” (niv)

‘ Since the day I brought my people out of Egypt, I have not chosen a city in any tribe of Israel to have a temple built so that my Name might be there, nor have I chosen anyone to be ruler over my people Israel.But now I have chosen Jerusalem for my Name to be there, and I have chosen David to rule my people Israel.’ (niv)

Our ancestors worshiped on this mountain, but you Jews claim that the place where we must worship is in Jerusalem.”“ Woman,” Jesus replied,“ believe me, a time is coming when you will worship the Father neither on this mountain nor in Jerusalem.You Samaritans worship what you do not know; we worship what we do know, for salvation is from the Jews. (niv)

But you are to seek the place the Lord your God will choose from among all your tribes to put his Name there for his dwelling. To that place you must go;there bring your burnt offerings and sacrifices, your tithes and special gifts, what you have vowed to give and your freewill offerings, and the firstborn of your herds and flocks.There, in the presence of the Lord your God, you and your families shall eat and shall rejoice in everything you have put your hand to, because the Lord your God has blessed you. (niv)

Then he rejected the tents of Joseph, he did not choose the tribe of Ephraim;but he chose the tribe of Judah, Mount Zion, which he loved.He built his sanctuary like the heights, like the earth that he established forever. (niv)

Then to the place the Lord your God will choose as a dwelling for his Name— there you are to bring everything I command you: your burnt offerings and sacrifices, your tithes and special gifts, and all the choice possessions you have vowed to the Lord. (niv)
